Last year in the Under 20 WC Augustus was the player of the tournament playing as a loosie,
On Saturday he played at 8 for the Stormers and scored two tries - he is a try- scoring machine as proven in the Under 20 WC and what I like about him is the natural ball sense he seems to have.
With Vermeulen playing hide and seek the Stormers may use Augustus as an 8 and we may see whether he would make the grade. One to watch out for.
Just keep him away from the chocolate river :)

The guy is I believe only 19 years of age and will develop further as a player - that is why I sa id we must look out for him over the next few years.
In a way he reminds me of Schalk Burger - but I think at 19 he is a better player than Burger was at that age - ie when the latter played under 21 rugby.
um Clevermike, at 19 Schalk Burger was the most incredible loosie in the U19 world cup.
You absolutly cannot compare the two.

I am sure that Burger was a live wire then - but has to point out that those days there was no Under 20 WC - there was then an Under 21 WC - in which Burger played in the final in Argentina/ The forwards and especially the loosies played a massive game. Our Under 21 team won the trophy despite Morne Steyn who missed every kick at goal. .

Burger has always been known for his work rate.
Augustus is not known for his high work rate, but rather his explosiveness.
Different types of players, so lets rather not compare.
I do like Augustus, but i hope his work rate increases.

I am sorry but I do not agree with Chippo. A low work rate player will never be the Player of the Tournament when it comes to the Under 20 WC/
He is a solid lad and has a bright future ahead of him. He stands at 1.88m and clocks in at an impressive 111kg.
The youngster just turned 20 and will mature into something special by the time he reaches his mid twenties.
To win the player of the tournament takes some doing, so I honestly don't know what Chippo is on about.
He is absolutely a player to watch and I hope he is exposed to Super Rugby as soon as possible. Look forward to seeing him play this year.
