Yes he is...His best bet is to retire on 100!! How long has it been since we have seen this great actually finish a game?? He plays 20 mins and spends 6 weeks out in between games with injury. He even admitted that he used to go for a run every morning after a match to loosen up and clear his mind. He reckons he can no longer do that as the body doesnt allow and he is needing 2 to 3 days between matches. Why put yourself through this?? Why continue to play when after 20 mins of rugby, you spend the next 4 to 6 weeks in pain??
His body is clearly not holding up as well as Richie's. Opposition are taking note of that and attacking his channel hard out. France and England both did that with some decent success. Carter used to be respected to a point where opposition teams knew there was not much yardage to be gained through him..That is no longer the case and the man is getting hurt!

Let him have a sabbatical to get his body in shape an overcome the niggles. He is still the best flyhalf in the world and he will prove this in the big matches, as long as he is in the best condition.
New Zealand have the most depth at fly half of any country by far, so although he will be missed others can step up.

From memory he played about 25 mins. Glad he got to start in twickers for his 100 cap & that we won . They will assess Carter & figure out what is best for him & the team . Doubt he can make it to the RWC , if he cannot it would be a shame that he is such a great player but one who never played in the winning final.

Well ou maaaikie that explains some of your comments. hakwa he is not theonly one slowing the team down. a lot of old oaks who are past ity.Consider it a miracle of sorts the bas werent beaten this year as they certainly deserved top be.
Old man mcaaaw, Wooodcock, mealamu, carter, conrad, nonu are all creaking at the joints and there are no better players to replace them otherwise they would have I guess.Dr Beeno diagnosing the abs big problems
