….maybe too much trouble for Harrassmus to come riding in? Nienaber will be blamed by the fools who have been beating the Harrassmus drum. But this is Harrassmus’ team and his tactics and his coaching staff including Stick who couldn’t coach an U11 team to pass. And his political er inspirational captain

The disastrous decline in handling among our forwards was there to see all year.

What wasn’t because it wasn’t tested was the defensive weakness of the Dud Allende, Am, Mapimpi axis. Our centres contrived to always be where the threat wasn’t. Except once Allende was in place to at least be proactive and rush forward to do the smother tackle as Kellaway did for Oz. But he did the one thing that would never help, floated too late onto  the outside man.

These weaknesses have been obvious to fair minded fans for months.

There was also no fighting spirit in this team they were beaten mentally after the first Aussie try….the captain was a non entity.  And this ref bent over backwards for the Boks who got every 50/50 call. It wasn’t enough.

There were two Springboks on the park today….Faf who totally made our try and Etzebeth who stole crucial ball, not used by our toothless runners.

This was a humiliation and takes us right back to square one.

And Oz weren't that great shakes. They could hardly catch a high ball in the second half, but they turned solid chances into points with attacking skill - Ikitau inside outsiding Pollard, Tupuo's no look pass and Kerevi's superb offload from a double tackle. Skills count. We have lost ours and we won't get them back while we think a #12 storming head down into contact is the best in his position in the world.

Agreed we ignored half of the game and now we can’t do those things at school boy level.

The other thing that’s truly sad to see is all the whining by our players. Willie kicked one ball out right in line with cameras. The touch judge gave the Boks 5 extra metres but Willie still whined away.

How the world sees Saffers...

Helm's Deep has been breached, and Gandalf is not going to make it, as world rugby has still not made a decision in time for Shadowfax to complete the journey.

You know maybe it’s an Harrassmus head fake….you know like the Welsh game where we appeared to be in trouble and on our way out the WC, only to win flumoxing the Poms the following week who expected more of the same.

Perhaps the ABs are already letting down their guard and Harrassmus is already on his way to NZ via the Falklands.  Maybe next week we unveil the full scope of our attacking game.

Surely, surely this is all part of the genius  Harrassmus’ devious scheme?

All hope is swallowed by the fog of the darkest war. The enemy is not only at the gate but also in the hearts of Helm’s Deep.

Has Harrassmus really played the role of  Grima Wormtongue, misleading one and all. But if that’s the case who is Théoden?

The king that lead from the front with sword in hand. Who was bewitched into a shadow of his former self but was released from the spell by an old friend that never gave up. The shattering of the dropped black staff saw the clouds clearing and rightful king restored in both mind and body. Enemy rulers opine behind closed doors on the warrior’s king. They say that his insecurity took him, battle after battle, to the front lines. “Poor sod,” they say. “To fight a war for a kingdom with one hand while battling for acceptance with the other.” “Indeed! Rulers must rule and soldiers must fight.” All the these words, born from envy and said only to self-soothe, are silently agreed upon by cowardly rulers, to be said and heard as though they are true. The warrior king makes no silent agreements and has no envy in his heart. Whomever could Theoden the soldier king be?

WelI, know what audio-books I’ll be ordering today. Time to revisit the series. “It’s been too long.”
