spark the backline more than Hougaard. He looks to hav ea quicke rmor eaccurate pass.

Dont get me wrong the Cape boy Hougaard is a brilliant player but I again wonder if wing is not the better option.

Countering this is the physicality that Hougaard brings to the scrummie position - he is genuinely like another loose forward. He needs to be very alert to any chances or half chances t orun. Even is he does not get away with his break he could tie down the opposing loose forwards. Force them to be honest.

I really can't make up my mind on this. Hougaard is electrifying on the wing with his exceleration and step and acute sense of space. The best wing in the country and probably also the best scrummie. Vermaak however is als a very good scrummie and has a talent in getting his line away and is also very dangerous on the break. Not quite as physical as Hougaard though.

Its is a shame that the likes of Sias and Vermaak rot on the bench!! They would make a class half back combo for any Super 15 franchsise  - both players are test level.

I prefer him on the wing for the simple reason that he is an on top of the ground player, we don't produce many, in fact he's the first I've ever seen. Good scrummies we have aplenty, Vermaak is another who is hugely underrated. Yep there's a dynamic about Hougaard, too precious to be wasted behind the scrum, stick him on the wing, Habana on the other and perhaps Fransie at Fullback and we'd have an electric back three.

Careful Denny suggesting Frans at 15 is not politically correct. Folk dont like his long range drops and touch clearances from there.

However in truth he did seem to add a lot at 12 for theboks at the last WC

Meyer has a lot of tricky questions to answer.

Nope Hougaards service is spot on, Vermaaks is no better or worse. The only 9 with a poor service is McLeod with that step or 3 of his before the pass

Totally agree, he's great at 12 but what a shame to waste that big boot at centre when with every club of the ball he sends the oppostion packing down field with their tails between their legs. Aih Beeno, I can visualise it, smell it, touch it....it would be a dream come true.

Well dream on Denny as dreaming is all we can hope for. Seems like a blue bok side. wee victoria captain. Danie at lock. Greyling and Kruger props and spiesise vice captain along with new caps stander and jaque potgieter just to show how p[rogressiv he is. Only joking lets wait and see what Meyer actually does. I keep telling myself he cant be a bad coach.

Some folk on Keo thingk its a send up and that Meyer has no intention of getting victor in again. Huge opposition there to this call if its made.

Wise of you to suggest a wait and see approach....and that's exactly how I'm going to play it but there are worrying signs, for starters there's a sameness about Meyer's coaching staff. It's a simple truth that the best defensive coach on the planet is domiciled in Cape Town.
