There will be for pools with each pool be headed by the top ranked teams:-
Pool A - New Zealand
Pool B - South Africa, Ireland, Scotland, America 1, Europe 2
Pool C - Wales
Poo; D - England
The first draw will involve Ireland, Australia, Scotland and Wales,
The second draw will involve teams rated from 9 to 12
Then the rest
So what will the actual pools look like?
The playoffs - Winner Pool A vs Rubber-up Pool B
- Winner Pool B vs Runner-up Pool A
- Winner Pool C vs Runner-up Pool D
- Winner Pool D vs Runner-up Pool C
Once the draw is known we can start discussing who will likely be in the play-offs. But Japan is really the dark horse and will remain so in 2023.
