Is the Lions tour in effect over?

If so it's going to be a long, depressing sayonara. The slow pace and static chess board of NH rugby is being exposed by the lower levels of Super Rugby. Who would have thunk it? ... The irascible Lions coach is forced to find some compeitors.....the Irish front row, Itoje and Lawes, Tipturic, and Faletau....Farrel at 10 and Te'o. But where is the talent out wide to come from? The other centres, wings and fullbacks look toothless. So in the absence of a dominating scrum, what is the path to win. Not relying on European chess pieces like Stampkar and Wyn Jones. It was obvious SBW was targeting Stampkar's ponderous runs. The ABs will follow suit. .... Nope the latest prediction that the NH is catching and passing the SH is on life support, at least as far as NZ is concerned. Let's hope the Boks don't reverse the trend with another flaccid performance

 We can only hope that they are keeping their cards close to their chest and that we have not seen the mighty roar of the Lions. I don't think many rugby fans like to see a Lions team come out of this looking pathetic.

Not a great game but hats off to the Blues for the upset.
Not looking to good at this stage for the Lions but hopefully, they can pull something out of the bag and surprise us all.

Panic stations in the Lions camp as of now I guess.  

This year's epic Superugby NZ derbies have given NZ teams the perfect prep for taking on the Lions. Their encounters have been stunning. Hell, after viewing one I couldn't be bothered switching over to the Aussie fixture  .... ditto setting the alarm, 3am, for Cheetahs .v. Boole etc .

NZ's biggest problem, looking forward, willl be finding worthy opponents.

Off to check the odds on offer on the Lions losing all the remaining games.

It is only going to get worse for the Lions. The tour from hell is only just getting started. The Crusaders await them over the weekend. If the Crusaders can get around 50% possession things could get embarrassing. 
I wonder how many International Test standard teams could be created from New Zealand at the moment. More backs than forwards- but even then there is lots of depth of forwards, especially loosies.

 Poor start for the Lions but hope as the tour goes on they gel more. It is going to be a long hard few weeks ahead!
