from a few years back in fact.

I said back then that Oz would start importing Pacific islanders at some point in time.

That combined with their own abilities (Two world cups) would move them ahead of NZ.

Look at Speight. What about Folau, Toomua and a few forwards. Will this swing things Oz way when competing with the wee abs. Expect Oz to win Bledisloe this year.

As for us provided we can just get our house in order it matters not what the oaks down under do they will always be second best to the boks except for RAWs. At the moment it is far from being in order but somehow we remain competitive.

Yep, I think you can say that the giant within the Oz has awakened. Boks will need to shape up on their away leg where Oz will be razor sharp.

Denny w e are shambolic in terms of professionalism but do not count the Boks out.

Cloudy, I'm not writing off the ABs, as a matter of fact I've yet to express an opinion on the ABs, I'm merely saying that the  Oz will be much improved from last year, they'd have to be after the crap they played.

You guys are right, the Boks hold on second  place looks tenuous. I am rooting for the boks over Oz but it will be a tough ask.

Beeno: nice to see your confidence returning after the poor weeee SA teams could only manage to put one team in the finals.
You can always become and AB fan (Hakwa says you are a closet fan already).
Come on you know you want to. Just use a different Nick name,  I believe storming Ed is taken but Daffy is available.

Out of all these players only Toomua adds what they've been missing. He is single-handedly their most important player. Australia have never lacked players who can run great lines, the trouble is going forward. At either 10 or 12 he must start and is their only hope of success. While Folau gets all the plaudits, it was Toomua that turned their EOYT around. Shameful stuff really, it's like they are afraid to criticize some of these players in case they run off to league in a huff :/

The AIGs looking scared as their super teams both being smashed last nite. I hope they stick with messam the cat as he is the most overrated tough guy ive ever witnessed.
You forget that last year the TN tournamnet was just following 5 years of drongo deans attempt to sabotege assie rugby from within... Link has had a good track record since the NH tour and time to form new combos..
I think Wallabies will be contenders this year but lack of consistent goal kicking will end up being the archilles..... unfortunately... wallabies will outscore tries to any team but dodgy AIG ref calls and consistent boots will make it hard for the bledisloe to come back to NZ's master country..

Wallys have to beat the All Blacks twice, once at home once away. The ozzies haven't done that for a long time, cant see to much changing. Super Rugby results is one thing test level is different again. Winning 1 game against the SA or the AB in the Rugby Championship-Bledisloe will be a massive improvement for the Ozzies. The Wallabies were damn lucky not to lose to Pumas, won by 1 point. Wallabies have played 84 test in the rugby champ/tri nations, only won 34 tests. Since 1996 when the tri nations started Wallabies have 3 titles.
Australia out of 149 tests have won 41 and draw 6 against the AB 102 victories. Yes it is getting boring COME ON WALLABIES DO ....... SOMETHING!!!! anything!! mix it up a bit more thrash the AB might wake em up a bit more.

Great to see Redsman back with a little swagger. Not sure if the swagger is alcohol induced but let's not be picky, lol
Anyone can see that in each kiwi super rugby team we have fantastic players. At the team level 3 of the 5 teams got into the finals and the Canes were real close.
When you think about national level teams, and look who is available from the SR level you can see how strong kiwi rugby is and what is available for selection as backup players to a stable ABs (most positions are sealed up already) .
We all know that SR level is no indicator of performance at national level but who can ignore the talent pool kiwis have? (that was a rhetorical question Beeno, Redsman & others, lol)
RC will be great this year boys!!

Australian rugby has improved to a greater or lesser degree...some franchises on the up and others like the reds on the down...the only thing I don't want to happen is this hooligan dolt with a foul mouth and uncontrolled temper, Cheika to get any glory and if an Australian side, better the Brumbies...anybody that can be mentored by this apology of a human being with no manners or breeding....all I can say that if Jacque Potgieter shrives on this team ned kelly mentality then good riddance...what a real thick doff...sorry Diggers  but Michael Cheika is a low life scumbag.Want either the Sharks,Brumbies or Saders to crush you and send you packing.

Ironically it is both the Brumbies (when you broke glass all over the place) who took you and the Sharks comfortably in Durb's...Sharkies don't listen to this pretender...your obstacle is the valiant Crusaders and if you can get past this hurdle then you will take the Tahs...more scared of Brumbies...this momentum shit will fizzle out.

Intersting thoughts seb - chiekas a hard man and hes passionate too... soemthingnthat the tahs have needed he is a real leader... and if he gets the results i dont thinka braoken door is any real issue.... not to mention him threatening an over zealous saffa camera man...
Im backing the tahs i think they have the fwds to dominat any super team and if it comes down to cruds v tahs i think the crudsnwill be smashed as of the 4 teams left they have the smallest and softest pack... esp old richie... lol...
Go tahs and shawks... be nice to see a repeat this time in tahs backyard....
