With all of the injuries going on at the moment, I wonder what real value the current format actual offer to our rugby as a whole. Players’ injuries are becoming more serious by the day and we are being robbed of watching these quality players compete against each other. Now, all of sudden we have Mitchell saying he has no first choice players to choose from, the Reds, last years champions can’t even find enough players to fill their backline. The Stormers dominance looks to be under serious threat due to the sudden loss of 7 key players to their team, 3 of them who will be out for over a month. Not only will some super rugby team struggle, but come the international season, there will be hardly any players left to choose from.

What do you guys think, would you rather watch the best players play against each other over a shorter period of time or happy for the long season but not being able to see the best players compete against each other?

Yes the Super 15 has become a butcher's yard, with mangled bodies all over the pace. The Super 12 was a much better competition.

We should lose the Lions. Aus should lose the Rebels. And NZ should lose the Hurricanes and the Highlanders.....there's the rub.

Super 12 - NZ should keep all it's 5 Franchises, SA to provide 4 (Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs)  and Australia to provide 3 (Reds, Warratahs, Brumbies)

Surely we need to expand the game into other markets rather than hogg it ?
