that just about every franchise cops injuries but correct me if I'm wrong when I say that the Stormers copped a flyhalf crises last year, seems to me with the latest bout of injuries they seem to wear more than their fair share of bad luck.
It's a given
Denny if you think the Stormers have bad luck, you should look at the Auckland Blues - injuries, bad coaching, bad attitude, poor fitness, lack of team culture and team ethos, in fighting, lack of media skills.
Hakwa, Injusries i account to bad luck. all the rest you metioned has nothing to do with luck.
I have to compliment all here on realising that undue injuries have huge implications for a sides season. Some I know from elswhere have rubbished this as a lame excuse.
Mitchell has also been hard hit and he has little depth.
The truth about injuries are that you cannot plan for them not to happen, they are part and parcel to the game. You can only have backup plans in place for replacing injured players, but you still lose the player to a situation that is related to the toss of a coin at the contact situation or a misstep on and ankle or whatever, that is bad luck, plain and simple. And the player you have that replaces that player may not be the same, which influences your game plan the oppositions plans the game itslef which influences the season. so yes, Injusries can have implications for the sides season. Those that rubbish this as a lame excuse fail to realise that it is not an excuse, but a reality.
Mithcell is the perfect example here now. The Lions do not have the depth of other teams, but the flick of the coin has resulted in some injusreies to players that cannot be replaced. Therefore this will have an impact on their season, nobody can deny this.
Are the Kings going to replace the Lions in SA come 2013??
The Kings are in, that is a deffinite, an whoe thye will replace or otherwise is still open.
