It's even more obvious now....

that the Boks won't bat with a solid half pairing. What's needed is a scrummie like FDP and a flyhalf like Butch James. A flyhalf who can read a game and knows when to run the ball but has the added skills of an intelligent kicking game. Jantjies does not have the maturity, presence and skills at test level. Faf should be banned from kicking. The Boks got out of jail against the Irish they won't have that same luck against NZ and the Wallabies.

 Denny, I really feel for a lot of the POC players. Almost all are good enough to play for the Boks. For some it will be a tad too soon, but nubers will be forced on AC. Some combinations will be wrong and some players will be hanged out to dry. I think Jantjies has proven that he could be a great Bok, but there's still a few arrows missing from his quiver. Being a confidence player, I really hope it doesn't burn him too much if things goes pear in a match.

Faf is currently the best scrummie in world rugby so no complaints about this.Lets see how jantjes goes when he doesn't have to play against a side that camps offsides.All players including jantjes need a fair deal. jantjes has played some superb rugby this season. Pollard and Lambie are our so he deserves a shot. 
Faf is a vital selection as unless Coetzee strangles all initiative Faf will get the backline going. Jantjes helps in this regard also.
I have little confidence in Coetzee. The Rohan exclusion is the last straw. Bongi ahead of Akkers another last straw!!!!! Away with quotas!

I hope Faf has picked up a few clues after playing a kiwi team in the final. He has potential & the lesson TJ & a superb defence gave him should pay dividends... you never know.

Yup. Too early to write off Faf. He has many very good attributes. His kicking game needs work, but for me it was more the execution of his kicks than the tactical option taking that was a problem. Execution can be taught. 
He is worth investing in. 

Of course he is...the best by a long shot...we buggered up with Rory Kockott and he went to France and tried to bring back FDV after Japan who wasn't the same and then slow deliverer Ruan Pienaar who was misplaced in the beginning...not a scrum half but a reasonable flyhalf when young...an oval square in a round hole...Faf is a tremendous no 9 who is quick in delivery and a a no 10's dream...quick ball...Silky Hands thrives under his service so would Pat Lambie.

Lets hope Pollard and Faf get going as a combo. FAR more potential than anything the pap kiwis have !

After saying this Faf dove tails the fit player SA rugby must progress...he is a stand out winner that shines when all other 14 men do their job...I give major credit to Johan Ackerman who understands rugby...Faf is still young and must be supported and used but the biggest problem of SA rugby is the coach...Lions rugby is the best format in SA ...Ackermann has built character  and effective players, and understands team work and spirit, no player in Johan's side is bigger than the side , it's simply team work and even the captain Warren omission if necessary due to injury does not limp this side...the Lions format is the way to go in SA rugby...AC must go and Ackermann must be given this job ...he has clear vision...AC will bring back old old unsolved problems.
