It's hard not to be....

over the moon with the Bok win, after-all I expected them to lose and I said as much to friends adding that as long as they came out of the game with something I'd be happy. Lekker dinge Faf, Willie, Snyman and Vermeulen were awesome, apologies for repeating what everyone else has already said but I will add that Willie would not have made my team!

Moz, glad to say you were right in sticking with Willie and if I remember correctly you said he was our best attacking option whereas I felt he had a pap boot. Well Willie is back to his best and I have no problem eating humble pie as long as the Boks win and he shows that he is a class act. 

Kolisi's captaincy had little to do with the win.

I don't hope the Bok win is circa 2017 of the French series and for that reason I'll approach this series with caution. If there's excuses to be made for England then altitude has to be high on the list, they could also be tired after a long season. I think they're a good side and one can argue the Boks were simply better and more consistent but at the same time you wonder why England imploded for most of the second half.

I'll share that humble pie regarding Willie. My thinking he'll be great as long as he doesnt have to kick to much in open play like he did under those last morons. Keeping the ball in hand is a wonderful thing.

Meyer and Coetzee ended up causing Willie to lose his flair and turned him into an ineffective kicker and crashballer.    Dead in the water with those two coaches.

Ja Monster, Neither did I like his chip-kicks in the opposition red zone. Glad to see him playing with confidence again, just hope it doesn't dry up again like the last time which left us asking "what happened to Willie"

How goes it in Perth? ARU did the wrong thing dissing the Force....that decision might come back and bite them on the ass.

It's early days. Let us see how well they do over the next few weeks.

Both Faf and Willie contributed greatly to the win ... but my main excitement comes from watching Vermeulen play as he did.

It's been an age since last we had a loosie play like that.

If only we could find us a Alberts type to take over at 7.

... to add to that ... we are still without the best hooker in the world (see what I did there) ... as well as the best lock in the world (sorry, I couldn't resist).

Throw in a proper 12 and 13 and we're good to go. 

Would still love to see Jaco Kriel in the mix at 6.

Tell you one thing ... Whiteley is going have a mission taking the 8 jersey back if Vermeulen keeps playing like that.

Hi Denny,

In a delayed response to your mention of the right royal rogering dished out to the Force by the Eastern States Rugby (ARU), grass roots rugby appears to continue to grow much to my amazement. I thin WA is just so used to getting rogered by the East in general, we pick ourselves up, dust off and fight back harder. 

Truth be told, I have personally lost a bit of interest in the wake of this debacle.

We are not home and dry yet but pleasing start. To cope with the Poms really well we need Eben and Marx and Du Toi t at 7. Best front must be established. Nieaber to sort defence. Backs have the flair for once.
