A total disgrace by these Boks everybody wanted at the WC Willie ....our only creative back Combrink....bloody hopeless Venter.....bloody hopeless Allende....actually a bit better, but no 12, needs to play 13. Habana...quiet, but well taken first try Lambie....the myth is now fully exposed Paige....provincial player Koch....so many mistakes Strauss...too many runs from standing start Beast....a solid effort, Italian scrum much happier when Kitshoff on Lomp....non entity Stephanie....beaten in the crucial final lineout. Carr.....useless Alberts....anonymous Whiteley.....has to go, just too weak Kitshoff....zippo Jantjies....zippo Faf....a mess Goosen.....why take off Willie with the match at stake Mostert...nothing Coetzee should resign tonight to give the guys a chance to express themselves against Wales. Call for Pienaar ...call for Frans...call Vermuelen....the absolute nadir of Bok rugby.

 Du Toit was not beaten in the final lineout. Look where the throw went. 

Absolutely beaten. Stephanie called the lineout, Mostert never jumped.... it was meant for Stephanie who went straight up while the Italian jumper got in front of him. Jumping at the front you can't let your opponent cut the ball off. Embarrassing.

Without doubt the worst team in Springbok history- with the worst coach ever.  
The players we have now are limited- especially the back row- but surely they should be able to beat a team that is not even in the top 7.

 The team was poor - but Mozart's assessment was useless and not even remotely based on what happened on the field of play.  Insofar as the team is concerned they were almost as bad as the lot who lost the Japan test last year - clueless and leaderless. 

Lets face facts the problem starts with the coach and his lack of a game plan.   First of all he is clueless in his selections and that is where the players started to go wrong.   There is no stability in the team and he played a number f useless players.    Top of the list is Willem Alberts and Carr at loosies - they might as well not have been on the field of play.   Then we get to the rest of the team.
Lets face facts  - the game plan is hopeless.   The forwards were taking over as flyhalfs as per Meyer and Jake White's examples.   The scrummie is clueless and it was so predictable - when the Springboks were in the Italian 22 the ball was constantly passed to forwards who died with the ball or lost possession  since there was not ball protection and recovery.   
The second problem with the game plan is aimless kicking.   when the ball was to be carried it was kicked away.   Bad news and it is clear that the players were taught to kick for territory aka White's and Meyer's style.  
I would rate the players as follows:-

Lambie, Venter, Habana, De  Jager, Mawarira

Strauss, Whiteley, Combrinck
Very Poor
Paige. Koch
Atrocious - Gone AWOL

Bar Kitshoff and Goosen the bench was atrocious as well.   Jantjies was useless and Faf was only slightly better than Paige - but not playing a game normal with him.   Mohoje and Nyakane was anytime as bad as Alberts and Carr.
Now who are the flavor f the day players.   Very few players in the flavor of the day category was unsatisfactory and Mozart's assessment is just about as clueless as his knowledge of rugby is.  
 

   

In truth it doesn't matter what you think Tokkie.....this team has no guts. Compare this lot of shambling overrated provincial players with the Warriors who fought for Ireland today. There is no pride in this team, no resolve. You will say the coach has to put it there....but I disagree. The coach can manage resolve, amplify it....focus it. He cant create it.....this is a leaderless team of robots cahing their paychecks.

 What can I say ? I am really sorry to see our old foe bought down so low .Ireland shows where a lot of SA talent has gone and England and France have gutted Fiji with 169 playing in France alone .The NH has a lot to answer for.

Loose forward is a real problem. Never before have we had such a useless bunch. We have very few specialist fetchers- which are vital in Northern Hemisphere team. 
It does not help that the rest of forwards can't compete on the ground.

I tend to agree about that backline.  I think that we should get away from Alberts, Mohoje and Carr as well.   I would play against Wales Smith and Du Preez as flanks and leave Whiteley there.  
I think the whole issue here is that we have a set-up that is not acceptable - neither the caching - nor most of the players.
Mozart always write about the flavor of the day players and come up with the Steyns and a few others to solve the problems - but he never comes up with solutions.
I think it is too late for the present squad to be saved and I would definitely not select most of the duds next year.

Depending on Super Rugby performances - probably Ulengo, Combrinck and whomsoever showed up positively in Super Rugby.  Pietersen and Habana definitely not.

Pollard, Goosen, Lambie
Scrummies
Reinach, De Klerk, Venter - definitely not Paige
Loosies
Du Preez brothers, Smit, Labuschagne, Notshe - definitely not any of the present loosies.

Etzebeth, Du Toit, De Jager

Malherbe, Redelinghuys, Mtawarira, Kitshoff, Van Zyl and Marais
Hookers
Marx, Van der Merwe and Mboanambi
I would say the key is to watch how the above progress in Super Rugby next year and then add a few names to the list.  
There is no team spirit in the players - Mozart writes crap about lack of fighting spirit - but that is not the case at all.   The players does not function as a team - rather as individuals.   That only a proper coach can remedy and we must realize that Coetzee is not a proper coach at all.  
 

By the way - Mozart mentions Fat Fransie as another player to call up.   What purpose would that serve - Fat Fransie is useless and he is too stupid to realize that.  








 

Oh great.....so we lose Habana, but keep the painfully slow Combrink. Allende is partnered by unproven myth of the day Voster. Lambie stays at flyhalf, why I ask with tears in my eyes ....the weed Goosen stays. Back comes the bumbling Raainacht. Flops Malherbe and Kitshoff are in. The utterly hopeless Lomp is there. The twins with no hands are in, along with another weed Notche. When are we going to learn this weed will be no better than our current weed Whiteley. Noppe Tokkie has learned nothing.

 ATM I would play Katrakiles ahead of Bambi, hell, even that hooker that plays 10 for the Cheaters would be an improvement. Venter should have been our other 9 on tour too.

I havent seen Venter the scrumhalf.....he may be good but Venter the centre kinda discourages me. How the hell did that guy suddenly become a flavour of the day!

You at a fine one to group players according to your standard prejudice and then come up with junk like you regularly do.   Your rating of players is so dim and prejudiced and normally based on an incident during a  match and that then becomes the norm.  
Who have ever said Malherbe is a flop - other than you - the most stupid rugby performance evaluator in the world.  
Sorry - but I think we should start building up a really professional squad and not live in the past and come up with really deficient players like the Steyns.  
Problem is I have learned not to live in the past and adjust my ideas - you are a twit who rubbishes some players based on your cr ooked and prejudiced stories and has not have had an original idea to go forward in years.       

For one thing Malherbe has been injured more than he has been healthy for 3 years now.....and when healthy he has been a non event, often penalized. Hardly the corner stone of the pack as befits a tighthead.

I'm gonna sound suspicious because I was one of the first to praise Venter...but in the last 2 games he' s been too poor, like he's lost or disoriented on the field; no passion and no drive. If you look closely his body language is so negative, always with his head down.

I wouldn't be surprised if he caught a virus and he's been playing sick. Allthe signs hint for that!
