I understand that going north would be better for us in so many ways, but still, I'd prefer playing against the New Zealanders.

Their standard cannot be matched and it would be good if we keep ourselves exposed to that kind of rugby as often as possible.

We just need to get our house in order. Hopefully under Coach Erasmus we'll see something positive come about.     

The players are going north. SA rugby on the other hand will go south, because the whites don't/won't play ball. As long as the rugby team is not broadly representative of the majority, the sport will not have national support and the bokkies will  decline. Under these conditions it would be detrimental to the national self-esteem to maintain competitive ties with the All Blacks.

Where have all the sportsmen gone?

Rugby as a sport in SA at international level is going "south" and the players are going north literally because of political interference and quota policies where players are not selected on merit but on colour.

I was never a supporter of apartheid in any form whatsoever and despised the system but the real truth and it is the truth that SA rugby was never as strong at International level than it was in South Africa in the fifties,sixties, seventies and eighties under Dr Craven...it was unfair yes but it was played without black or people of colour, except perhaps Errol Tobias and we clearly dominated the top 2 and more often than not beat NZ.

Two wrongs never make a right but we are going "south" is simply because we don't put the very best players in our national side and that's the hard cold truth.

Any true sportsman won't tolerate that.

The sport was not professional.

SA rugby operate on a globalist scheme. It is not localized rugby.

Things will go fast now, even faster if President Donald Trump helps the cause of termination of rugby in SA by applying economical sanctions or invading SA.

There was no quota policy, no political interference when that SA player decided to drop his teammates, his president, his staff, his supporters in the middle of a season.

There is no quota policy in action, players who quit are not barred by quota players.

If a player can have a good life in the country of their birth and provide for themselves and their family, I'm sure they'd stay. Its not a lack of pride, it's common sense in perceiving the perils of the moment and a likely bleak future. Africa never learns. SANZAAR has run it's course, bums on seats or lack there of has sealed it's fate. The fact that Kiwi teams rule and that neither South Africa or Oz are near good enough to compete pretty much puts the writing on the wall. You can't knock the Kiwis. Going back a while someone suggested the revival of long tours but it might be too late now that we're in the professional era.
