Just watched the highlight real of this guy. His name has been popping up for a while, but it has been the first time that I took a look at him and he seems a great replacement for Thor Vermeulen. Plays in a similar style and got pace to burn
Not to mention he plays for the Exceter Chiefs who has been the leading Premiership team over the last couple of seasons
This guy is apparently was very good when playing for the Sharks, but he was kept out of the team by the Do Preez brothers a number of times and to my mind is one of the players who may succeed Vermeulen. I am not sure about his age - but h seems to be 25 years old - and h better be selected before the English got at him. The Vunipola brothers were not very effective in the WC final and they are getting on a bit in years,
It seems the Exeter style of play is suiting him and he’s playing well.
Scoring lots of tries.
He’s not playing in the Semi Final this weekend nor is he on the bench. Not sure why that is ?
