Just as I was looking forward to an SA team progressing in the European championship, Jake the snake decided to throw baby out with the bath water.

First he moaned about the flights and SA rugby jumped up to facilitate business class flights which came at no cheap expense.

Then, we learn that he decided to leave 11 boks at home and 3 more players in his starting team.

That smack of hypocracy

What a cunt, ruins the game and the fans will only have to wonder

Yip it does spoil the game and I was looking forward to Scrum time…but he even leaves Wilco, Gerhard and Johan at home….so URC is more important to him or what was his reasoning?? 8 Flights to get there is a bit much….SARU can’t even tie there own shoe laces….well let’s see if this game is even worth watching.

Well, he got his business class direct flights and still decided to send a weak team.

I was looking forward seeing the likes of Arendse and Moodie. But now we are stuck with has been players like Carr and Mapoe.

According to that ass kisser Website Supersport, 14 players are injured…King said it to, there is to much bloody comps and to much Rugby being played …that leads to Coaches picking and choosing in between comps, where they stand the best chances of winning.

Bulls aren't going to win either tournament but they might get to the final of the URC.

Let's just be grateful that Jake White is no longer part of the Springbok setup.

The mediocre video-analyst who got the job of Bok coach through shameless cronyism and now thinks he's some kind of legend because he coached us to a RWC win where England (who we smashed in the group stages and nearly lost to in the final) was the only team we played in that tournament who had ever beaten us in their entire history.

LMAO!

Now there is a lucky RWC win for you!

Since then the only thing Joke White has demonstrated is his incompetence as a coach and his complete lack of loyalty or integrity.

History will show Rassie to be a Springnok coaching legend and Joke to be an abject failure.

They are good team but they are not better than La Rochelle, Leinster or Toulouse. Hell Leinster whacked them the other week and they are not even playing as good as they normally do.
Too many difficult matches away for home for the Bulls to win the Champions Cup particularly with the farcical travel arrangements . In the URC they can probably get a home quarter and semi and then will only have to win one match away from home. Much more doable, but even at that Leinster would be the favorites for it.

Didn't Jake do reasonably well at both the Sharks and Brumbies?

There's also the factor that I'm sure potential home quater's, semi's and potentially a home final is also a lot lucrative to the Bulls.

Aside from which for whatever reason Champions Cup games seem to be generating less interest than the URC games in South Africa as well.

Bit disrespectful to the Saints though….and at such an important stage in the tournament.

I just hope we win or we’ll look immensely stupid !

Rooi don’t forget the fact that the only reason Jake can claim a WC is thanks to the help of Eddie Jones Jake was so bloody shit leading up to that WC that it was either sack him or fly in someone who knows what he is doing - queue Eddie Jones That coupled with the easiest WC ever - as you say we only had to face England - that’s it, not one other single top tier nation at the time As you say - there is no more luck than that

Saffex, as you know, I'm no fan of Eddie Jones. I think his reputation was also boosted by that miraculous fluke of the draw . . . and the direction that both his and Jake's care ers have taken since then just amplify what a freakish (yet wonderful!) turn of events that was.

Luckiest draw in the history of all sports . . . not just rugby.

I can remember Jake winning the RC and RWC 2007….then came the Luke Puke Watson saga….at the Brumbies he didn’t stick long also the sharks, he did have some success there…but truthfully he does have some abilities but could not stay anywhere long enough to build up some kind of continuity….now at the Bulls his got a Dream Team, and he should be doing better….I don’t really know what to think of him lately , at the moment I am just pisst off about the team selection!

At that time Eddie was ok, like Jake he is a pompous twat which soon gets players backs up That was the case with Eddie with England even though surprisingly he has one of the best English records ever I’m not an Eddie fan either but he certainly saved Jake’s arse from getting axed pre that WC. It’s well documented how close he came to getting the chop

Jake is a guy that brings discipline and a system that allows average players to excel. It is based on use players, physicality and then just grind teams down. Rassie use the same tactics but we can see that the boks are evolving.

But Jake doesn't help himself. He reminds me of certain workers that just moans to get what they want and then when they do get what the want, they still moan. I have had to deal with so many people like this. There is nothing more frustrating than petulant adult. I get it now why SA rugby was happy to get rid of him and the Saarks, not to mention, brumbies. Montpellier also got rid of him after a few seasons. He is a very frustrating coach, he will get you in the top 4 or 5 but lacks the killer instinct

Kinda sounds like Jake  was standing up for the players who were being asked to go through an unreasonable ordeal.
