It has been conformed that Jake White has been appointed as Director of Rugby by the Sharks as from 1 November 2013.

It now transpires that Venter had no contract with the Sharks - but the question remains what his role for the Sharks be in future.  A full statement on the issue would be dealt with today.   Venter may remain being involved with the Sharks, bit clarity on th issue is being awaited.

Now the Sharks will definitely be the winner of Super 15 next year - despite the rumblings of Sasue in respect of the Chiefs.  The only hope of the Chiefs would be up front would be to play Tomas at lock - since they really need a good lock forward.

Ha ha Clevermike, you have a good sense of humour.

The Mighty Chiefs are just getting stronger and I predict chief Sitting Bull will be back on this forum so there is no hope for the Sharks or any other team.

Cheers, from your mate Just_win (but fairly of course)

Should've kept Brendan Venter, Sharks need a no nonsense character behind the scenes judging from the apparent drama last year. JW will just add to the drama and clash with it.
Wished he went to province or Bulls.

I really like Jake White, but he clearly has no true ambition to coach at this level. He wants to coach one of the following teams. Springboks, All Blacks (No chance in hell), Australia (Keep on waltzing Matilda), England (erm, no thanks chum, we are doing alright with our current coach).
I thought it was really low of him going for AC's job who is a mate of his. I wish AC would bugger off and would have loved to have Jake as coach but as mentioned before. He will just drop provincial team for the next possible international job.

Saffex

He did well enough as the Brumby coach and I as a Sharks fan is perfectly happy with his appointment.   Also a WC winning coach as well - so you are talking crap in this c ase.
