With almost no name players outside the front row, he installs so much belief in these youngsters that they can come back against a rampant bools team in Pretoria. And they laid the Bools defence bare....the tour down under could prove challenging.

Um last I checked the Brumbies lost - you sound like a Pom praising a victory. The Bulls were all over the Brumbies and in total control but for that very poor slip in the last 8 min when they conceded 2 silly tries. 15 to 20 point margin would have been a true reflection.

Good old Jake back to a 50% winning ratio - piss poor I would say

Saffex - what game were you watching?   Five tries against one - the other Bulkls try was a serious mistake by the referees and should have been a scrum for the Brumbies - does not sound like the Bulls were all over the Brumbies.

Bad news that game - and yes White is cvery. very good with limited potential.

And then this from Brendon Nel.....

"While it must be remembered this is a young Bulls side and many of their players are still learning their trade in the Super Rugby series, there is no excuse for the sloppy tackling at the end where the Bulls fell off more tackles than the rest of the game combined.

Credit must go to former Bok coach Jake White and his side, who are definitely well coached, even though they may lack the gamebreakers they need to possibly win the tournament this year. They are a hard working side who would have been deserved winners if the decisions had gone their way."

Oh Mike get a grip - the Bulls were all over the Brumbies. They dictated play and should have beaten them by 20, but for that pathetic period of play when the Bulls played with the mindset that the game was done and dusted. Steenkamp certainly scored the try he did so the Bulls should have had 3.

The Bulls were anything but great but they sure had the measure of the Brumbies

But hey you Jake fans keep praising the 50% win ratio - sounds about right for Jake

In a word....porous. As for the away leg.....I'd be a very worried man if I were a Bull fan.

Relativly- he has a team with less experience and talent than the Lions- his team has been competitive in most matches and are in the top half of the table on points- not just the Kangarroo conference

I think you'll find the Bulls and Stormers have as much experience as the Brumbies. 50% record is crap

da bulle were outplayed and but for bulle ref marius bonkers would have lost the game. That forward pass not picked up was a bad one and led to a bulle try.

Fact is the Bulle need Flip and greyling back pronto.

Is it time to drop spiesies? I hate to say this but he looks shall we say apprehensive

Play Arno Botha I say.

Also you cany play two 110 kg lightweigh locks and expect to dominate physically.

Also remember that chilli boy at 105 kg is a smallish hooker. He is not very strong physically and is slow. Bulle scrum struggled. Reminds me of our scrum when Deon Fourie is at hooker. Deon of course is real fast and otherwise excellent as a player. FAncy of saffex imaging chilli boy should come anywhere near a Bok side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bulle need to understand that they will not boss sides physically (a vital factor for them) with their small pack of 880 kg. I would have thought the bashing they got at the hands of the Mighty Stormers would have taught them something.

I see now ou jake is having a brain spasm and advising 104 kg victor comes back. hahahahahahahahaha what a laugh. Jake I trust you are not trying to sabatage us. I do know you are peeved at ou pdv getting your Bok job, and rightly so, but no need to be destructive and get revenge!

Beeno, stop speaking kak. Bulls outplayed my ass. The Bulls dominated every facet of play and should have beaten the Brumbies by 20

So you think 5 tries to 1 against the bulle is great. Sorry Dave but that does not look convincing to me at all!!!  These Brumbies came back at the bulle and blew them away!  Also had to contend with bulle ref bonkers, altitude and travel!

Man bulle were extremely lucky all in all.

Now bulle go on tour and the fun begins  -pink jerseys and all. On this form they are doomed. Better up your game bulle you need to be 20 or more points to beat the sides down under with the refs you will face.

Ignore the likes of Dave who is pedaling false comfort for bulle.

I think it would be fair to say the Bools had an edge physically.  But of course they were playing at home against a team that had just flown across the Ocean. I wouldn't be too sanguine they will have much, if any, edge in NZ.

And ball in hand the Brumbies were much more inventive....which reflects on the coaching. Five tries to one......that speaks volumes.

Ball in hand I think not - more like targeting the weakest link - Morne Steyn and running through or past him

Well Morne certainly missed one tackle for a try. And his stats... making 4 tackles in seven.... were bad. But not as bad as your hero Kirchner, who made one tackle in three. And Spies and Hougaard each missed two tackles as well. Were they also targeted?

Kirchner had a good game as he always does. Nope they were not targeted but Jake got it right in targeting the 10 channel as Morne is a girl in defence. There was that loop around by the 10 and then that direct run straight through Morne

You talking about Morne Steyn who scored 26 ofthe bulle points - many of them courtsesy of bulle ref Bonkers.

What would the bulle done without Morne? It is obvious he was an essential cog in the plan?

How many times has a side scored 5 tries to 1 in a super comp game and still lost the game. Anybody able to find that stat?

Huge moral victory for Jake and his team.

Wake up bulle you need to win some matches down under. Do not give any credence to these words of comfort from Dave. You need seriously to buck up amd take a long cold look at what went wrong. 5 tries to 1 is nothing to dismiss lightly.

I sense however even these slow witted commentators are slowly stopping to speak of the big bulle pack. I remember when the Stormers pack was pushing them about last year at Newlands how suprised they were at what the Stormers forwards were doing to the "big" bulle pack.   Reality is at last dawning methinks.

Now why would the well mannered Bulls go and humiliate their former beloved national coach. An ordinary win was good enough for them.

Moz, I dont have a touch of flair - just a touch of bad luck, but all could be revealed in time to come (hopefully). Moz, this board has no PM and I want to have a word with you, but I respect your demand for privacy and annonimity. Can you create a gmail address, something like mozartxyz(@)gmail(dot)com ofcourse without the brackets and the dot the usual . Send me a simple Hello message ... and I will respond from here il@mighty.co.za to the center of Deerpath just like McNaught did.

Denny, I support all the SA franchises during the S15, but I will not support the Kings next year.

During daytime I have a lovely wife, but oh boy at night sometime the going is tough when all the ex- school lovers and varsity lovers comes back to haunt you, well, sometime I haunt them.
