If this youngster invites comparison with Danie Gerber he has to be an exciting prospect. But the next few years are going to mould him for his career. So when I read he is already a Bool, I ask myself who the last great Bools centre was. And frankly I can't come up with one. Ship this lad down to CT so he can learn from Jean....I'm being serious.

Moz one thing we all have to admit is that the parasitic bulle have one talent - spotting and snaffling talent from other provinces. If they did not have this talent they would be a vodacom side at best.

Yes Serfontein could certainly learn from Jean but not too much from the clueless alistair or fleckie - witness how few tries the Stormers backline scores  that with 5 boks and Joe who has been called up in the backline!! ie only the pretty useful Duvenage has not had Bok involvement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why they dont try and get Brendon Venter in as head coach is mind boggling.

"parasitic" ......hell Hasbeen that's the biggest insight of your fulsome posting career. Spot on! But I still think they will mess this guy up totally.....when the okes eat their frikkadelle after the game, Jan will get slaps on the back if he joined the rolling maul. Made a few breaks?  "Jan jy hardloop nog te ver voor jy skop ou maat, jou jaagers kan nie so lank wag nie"

Hahahahahhaha well said Moz. But even the bulle will find it hard to ruin Jan. What also impressed me was that he took a couple of big hits and it was like water off a ducks back. The guy is hard and snapster maybe right that he could be considered for higher honours. Still I am cautious and hope he can first play a bit of super  next  year.

I think the bulle talent spies are everywhere. We need an assasination team to counter all this!!

What I like is the fact that we have some inteliigence in charge for a change. This gives me hope that the talent we have will reach potential. Are you as upbeat about things?

Fransie at 19 was the toughest nut we are ever likely to see....but in his first few Super matches he was always being charged. The youngsters need to learn the pace of senior rugby, before they are dumped in tests. The idea of playing Serfontein now is unhinged.

Ideally he should play super comp first but ou snapster has the bit between his teeth and thinks our backline consists of old farts!!! We will have  to trust Meyer knows how to bring the youngsters along.

Snapster would probably select the under  21 side to play for the Boks just so he can see some fresh faces!

Poor old Dave....he has never been able to gauge the competition, and judge accordingly.
