This kid continues to make a huge impression. The way he ripped the Reds defence apart begs the question - what the hell is Ludeke waiting for.

This kid will be a Bok this year, as will Steph du Toit

Snapster ludeke is gradually introducing him. More haste less speed - witness the debacle re Goosen who physically was not ready.

Snapster please - Super 15 and test rugby is not the same as under 16 rugby however tough you might think your boys are!!!

No one doubts Jan is good enough to play but he is a KID. So Ludeke eases him in. But yes its hard to be patient.  It would not surprise me if he gets a start soon.

What I particulary like about Jan is that he appears to have a first class rugby brain on him and reacts very quickly.

Wrong, if you are good enough, you are old enough. Jan needs to start now.

Goosen was ready, he has just been unlucky.......physically he has been fine. Hell his latest injury occured during kicking training - that has stuff all to do with not being physically ready.

Jan at 97kg is a big strong lad, he is more than ready physically and given the confidence he has displayed on the field this year, looks more than ready menatlly.

Ludeke needs to back him - start him and let him express himself, without carrying the fear of failure with him. Tell him he is starting the next 5 matches no matter what
