Jannie Du Plessis and Tendai Mtawarira have been on the front line, for the Sharks and the Boks. They have been both great players, up until last season. They know each other very well, since they play together for their team and for the National Squad. But they have started showing signs of fatigue or lack of sharpness since last season, and it is still evident this year too that they have lost their previous form and stamina they once had. The NH tour last year was a pain to watch, countless scrum penalties, and lack of strength is too obvious. Bismarck is back so and Strauss is still in good form, so we have no problem there as far as the Hooker position is concerned. Should we not rest these guys to avoid overworking them to the ground; after-all the Cheetahs three-some front row forwards can hold their own.

True Beeno, there are some good young players to try out and see how they deal with test level matches, we need some fresh legs up front I think. Probably Meyer should bring the players in question as impact players. SARU need to start looking after our own players to avoid them getting Burn-out. These two guys are great players, but they have lost their fearsome competitiveness in the scrums; its a concern. But we have loads of backup there.
