During the match the commentator stated that Jannie put his hand in the face of Australian player and it could have been near to an eye gouge.
Both Jannie and the Australian player had there backs to the camera.
Firstly I am not sure how the 100 year old Hugh Bladen was able to determine that it was nearly an eye gouge if neither player was facing the camera, and Jannie was also in front the of Australian player further obstructing the player.
Some of the posters here have declared his guilt.
If spectators had the same view how can it be determined that it was even remotely an eye gouge
I suppose Jannie blinded the player, but the Australian player just continued playing.
The citing commissioners are also on holiday and cited a player for an elbow but just choose to ignore a far more serious offence.
