I don't wish injury on anyone, except maybe Zuma and Mugabe, but Jannie's injury has opened the door for the deserving Dreyer to get his shot. Jannie has been reasonable at scrum time, but completely absent, apart from the odd penalty given away, outside of the scrums. I just hope Dreyer gets his shot, and takes it!
It seems that injuries are the only way Meyer will consider replacing one of his favourites. If the replacement player performs though, he tends to hang on to them. If that is the only way to get rid of Jannie, then I'll take it!
Beast is becoming exactly like Jannie. I remember when he burst onto the scene with strong carries and steals on the ground. He was almost like another loosie. Lately however, he is seen slotting in under the hooker's arms for a scrum, and that is about it. At 1 we have some decent players coming through, and all things being equal, Beast should be feeling some serious pressure.
