Jantjies test

Elton now has a familiar 9 and Rohan on his outside. My feeling is that he'll do well today and all the people who at the beginning of the year stressed how important it was to have had that vital combination click for the Boks, will be proved correct. I'll go as to say that Jantjies is gonna have a very good game today. That is unless he has been ordered to kick the leather off the ball for 80 minutes.

Coetzee and Jantjies are both done as far as international rugby is concerned.  

 The first ten minutes Jantjies made three poor passes and had a kick charged down.   He remained pathetic for the rest of the game.   Sorry - but he is not a test flyhalf - he does not have the insight and has a manufactured and highly inconsequential game that does not work out on test level.        

Oh well. Guess I am just hopeful. Returning to the scene of shame ain't easy :/ Glad this was the last game. Can't take any more dissapointment from the Boks for a while.

A relaxed Jantjies is a good Jantjies. 
Maybe he should have some of your spliff.

 I wrote negatively about Jantjies before the tests this year started and expressed reservations about his big match temperament - which I think he lacks when under pressure.   He tries all inconclusive passes - often inaccurately when that happened under pressure.  
I do not think he only reacts negatively to pressure, but is also a manufactured player who has learned about things like skip passes and chip kicks and then use them when it is not appropriate to do it -or keep on repeatying it when it is clear it will not work and opposing teams are read y to counter it.   
There is also a problem with the speed of execution - when players outside of him gets a pass defenders more than one defender is on the recipient.  This could be attributed to both the halfbacks,  But it remains a problem and centers around janjies as well as Morne and Fat Fransie.   All three of them lacks a critical element for flyhalf play - namely ball sense.        

What do Jantjies and Rose have in common?
Both played flyhalf and both had no balls.

 Jantjies thought he could emulate Carlos Spencer with his little flip passes.
He caught a few off guard initially but that soon fizzled out.
Now all that's left is a confused little man trembling at the knee. 
Both he and Coetzee are cut from the same cloth. They are simply not suited to top tier rugby.
