I've very happy for this guy.

He's very under appreciated with everybody and their dog constantly talking about who else could play at 8.

It's as though we forget that he's still a relative test noob and took to it as though he'd always been a Bok.

I'm a massive fan of how he goes about things and I honestly prefer Roos/Hanekom on the side of the scrum versus replacing him.

For me, the presence of Jasper has made the loss of Duane much easier to deal with.

I'm so happy that his injury didn't put him out for the year because we'll need him for the away AB games and for sure on the end of year tour too.

Good strong player but that’s all he is - one dimensional. Does a job and is effective at it

But great 8’s have power and skill - he is pure power

I much prefer Roos and Hanekom but Jasper will never let you down - freakish strength like the du Preez twins, Marx or Bismark

Roos has a lot more to prove than Jasper at this point.

I'd say that both Roos and Hanekom have a lot to prove to beat Jasper.

Remember, Jasper has shown that he can handle test rugby. Hanekom, as good as he is, is constantly getting himself injured and Roos, in my view, isn't getting the most out himself.

So, Jasper is still my guy at present.

For sure both have more to prove than Jasper but both are better equipped to be far better tests 8’s than Jasper
