Ex Su

HL Stormers captain Jean de Villiers’ determination to prevent the New Zealand teams from getting away with what they have been getting away with forever and a day could mean he spends 80 minutes in Hamilton on Friday constantly in referee Craig Joubert’s ear.(Go for it Jean we are soooo tired of the kiwi nonsense on the field!!!)

The Crusaders’ habit of holding opposing players back at the side of the rucks was highlighted by the television commentators during last Saturday’s game in Christchurch (WWhy no yellows!!!). As one comments man said, it is part of the game (at least in New Zealand it is) but usually you have to do it in such a way that it is not blatantly obvious.

Perhaps because Richie McCaw wasn’t there to bring the subtle touches to the art of frustrating (Cheatimng he means) opposing players around the breakdown, the Crusaders’ intent was blatant when they played the Stormers in Christchurch.

And it was never more so than when Schalk Burger was held back in a ruck and then was the subject of a TMO intervention when he hit out at the arms that were holding him in an attempt to get released.

The AMI Stadium crowd, when spotting that incident on the big screen, reacted as if they felt that Burger should have been penalised or even carded for what could have been interpreted as retaliation (I mean how bent are the KBBS!!!! Bwahahahahahahahha), but fortunately the onfield referee, when he saw the replay on the big screen, interpreted it differently.

He was clear that holding players back at the ruck was “just not on”, and he penalised the Crusaders instead of censuring Burger.

“I will be in referee Craig Joubert’s ear before the game in Hamilton, you can be sure about that, and if it happens like it did in Christchurch I will be on his case during the game as well,” said De Villiers.

I disagree with the suggestion that there might be a little bit of holding on in Hamilton on Friday. There will be a heck of a lot of holding on.”

The Chiefs were guilty of getting away with a lot of what De Villiers accused the Crusaders of doing when they beat the Crusaders in Christchurch three weeks ago, so the Stormers captain is right to expect the tactic to be to the fore again in Hamilton.(Oaks if its not one thing its something else - they spend their lives thinking of ways to crook!!!)

And he is also right in saying that the referee must ensure he stamps it out early on.

“In Schalk’s situation a different referee might have penalised him when he tried to get himself loose when he was held back against the Crusaders,” said the captain.

“You have two options in situations like that – you leave it to the referee to sort out and if he doesn’t then the players have to sort it out themselves. But when the players get left to do something about it there is the potential for everything to get messy so let’s just hope that Craig is alert to the tactic and doesn’t let it become an issue.

"Everyone wants a good product so let’s hope the officials sort it out.”

With their endless bag of cheap shots even a unbiased ref has his hands full. When it's a bent down under ref the opposing team has littel chance and is simply blown out of the game. When will they clean up the game one asks!

Now please rooitwit no more being a sevile gimp apologist for the kbbs!

oh beeno you half wit you need to get over this idea nz teams cheat, or nz refs or refs in general favor nz teams, you can only play towhats in front of you. All it is, is conjecture, bitterness, grandre, and dellusion. I am not saying refs dont screw up, but from what ive seen you seem to have a personal vendetta agaignst all nz teams and their reffing style, unless you have facts to back your claims other then the "obvious cheating" which is circumstancial not actual proof, you need to get over this pettu sledging. While ref performances can effect the outcomes, its not the only factor, maybe a certain teams performance maybe. Doesent matter if its the all blacks or sprintboks, the ref is going to implement the letter of the law, their is no biast at all, unless your saying theirs match fixing going on which is just riduclous even on the surface.

Saffas need to cling to the "Ref done did a bad thang to us " rubbish ,its all they have to cling to the poor wee dears ! Apparently no ref since Jebus wore short pants ever gave a saffa the rub of the green....apparently ! Farking sooky wee gurley men ,thats what it makes you sound like "Waaahhh!!!! ref did a bad man thing to me ! touchies touched me inna bad place ! " Try actually winning something for a change ,it may help your sooky outlook !First you whine about SH refs ,then its Kiwi refs ,now its your own refs ? I have even seen whinging about Aussie refs which leaves who ?Dimwitted fans like beanhead is why saffa fans are gaining a reputation as not just losers ,but ungracious  ones at that [ with the odd exception !]

Another thing that irritates me is that refs like to 'coach' the New Zealand players. Instead of just penalizing them they will instruct them to stop committing an illegality as they allow play to continue. It's been this way for so long that it's considered normal and the new generation of New Zealanders expect this preferential treatment, they do not possess the integrity of New Zealanders of old.

Better yet, hand over the Webb Ellis trophy to France and win back some integrity.

Hear hear Sun - Tzu bravely spoken but a word in season. The kiwis rob us all blind then expect us to give credence to their rugby record. It's absurd. It' s great though that today more and more people are objecting and guys like Venter speak out.

robbed you? Your bok team couldent beat aussie, and now your blaming the ref for that, your pathetic. And France it doesent matter if you win by one point or a hundred winnings winning. Like i said that bok side would of been blown off the park by that ab team. All you are a bunch of bitter old crones who cant accept the fact nz are leaps ahead of sa, well get used to it, it well continue this season. Hypothetically if bryce did rob you, he did you a favor as you wouldennt of beat nz at home, and you hvnt since.

Beeno: are you are playing the same old tune again? lol

Many SA posters are now showing their maturity & have realised that blaming the ref is a wimpy way of avoiding facing up to the shortcomings of their team (& sometimes bad luck).

Other posters on this site need to find their manhood because they act like they are no longer anatomically complete - if you know what I mean?

Which category are you in Beeno?

You and beandick are just typical saffa whiners who suddenly discover their love for France when they play NZ ,which they at least got to do in the final ! Notice no whining from Kiwis here about Barnes ? Whinging ,the only thing bok fans are world chumpions at !

"Notice no whining from Kiwis - about Barnes?"
Are we talking about the referee at the 2007 World Cup? The same one where Graeme Henry said he wanted to launch an appeal with the IRB for match fixing. The likely reason he was able to keep his job after getting knocked out in the quarters. The game where many Zealand fans called foul? When the shoe is on the other foot call Mccaw

Like I said before if stains had done the one thing he's supposed to be good at the Boks would have won ,but I suppose thats the refs fault too ?Oh and thats the same Wayne Barnes that was demoted from test rugby until he got his crap together .....

sharkbok do u realize how hypocritical your sounding, its okay for sa playrrs to cry foul, but oh no once a nz affilliate, player, or fan does oh suddenly were the hypocritical ones lol. From my vantage point an obvious blatant missed forward pass is more grounds for accusing match fixing, then you bok fans accusing nz refs of being corrupt, or the easy outlet of using mccaw lol, we all kno your just sore loosers.

3ku1, actually I did not saying anything was ok- I merely stated that when the All Blacks lose a match in a similar fashion to how the Boks lost in 2011- that conspiracy theories were rampant or that the referee is crap"

oh so calling him crap is not whining........
-------
What about in 1995- the All Blacks accused South Africa of a conspiracy of food poisoning.
I guarantee that if the All Blacks get knocked out of this World Cup with circumstances anything like the Boks 2011 exit , then suddenly the moral high grounders will suddenly be back to 2007 and 1995, blaming conspiracies or blaming the ref, or wanting to file corruption charges with the IRB
---I am not saying that blaming or not blaming the ref is right, merely that when the shoe is on the other foot the moral high grounders jump ship quickly.

Jean better stay the hell away from Joubert.  He is so shit scared of apearing bias, he can easily fck up a game. Stormers will do well to forget about the ref and focus on their game. Its gonna be tough enough as it is. Coetzee's comments pre and post matches does not bode well. These things tend to backfire badly. Jake white also likes to motermouth in the media and it irritates the hell outa me! Do your talking between the chalk and not in the media!

you spot on.

Stormers and Coetzee were crying already before the competion had begun because they didn't like their calendar and they stick with it. They are always crying and whinning.

And that's quickly used by some here to throw up all their hate to the AB and the NZ rugby

I have said on many occasions in many forums that 1995 can not be blamed on the Boks or Saru ,any "poisoning "is the work of asian betting rings as far as can be determined and as for 2007 if the ABs were good enough they still would have won same for the Boks in 2011 or the French [ actually the Welsh are the ones who were probably hard done by ! ] . And I dont see us whining on here in the overwhelming fashion that SOME saffas do !

Bean Brain probably better if you don't watch the game tonight given yr fragile state....

How come you white boys need a Samoan on the wing though ???

After campaigning for another Super XV side so you can develop the game in South Africa and threatening to go to the NH to play if you don't get yr way, you yarpies go and import a Samoan player....

...funny buggers these yarpies...
