Rooinek: It is understood Kaino will have an out-clause that will enable him to head back overseas if he is not able to regain his place in the All Blacks. He will earn $300,000 less than he earned in Japan even if he makes the All Blacks so he needs an escape clause.

@Rooinek,
I don't think he will find himself second choice behind Steven Luatua for both AB and Blues.
For Blues he played more at 8 than at blindside and it's where he more probably will play next year sending P. Sailli to the bench.
And that will be a monstruous backrow: Luatua, L. Braid (who IMO has been the most inform openside of the Super Rugby comp the last 2 years) and Kaino. Uaaaaauuuu
And for the All Blacks he will be the incumbent blin dside. Before going to Japan he was by far the best 6 of the world. Last time he weared the black jersey, during the RWC, he was inmense, huge, the best loosie of the tournament.
