JJ may hug players - De Jongh gets just run over - plain and simple. His missed tackles last year was the same. Losing possession of the ball 3 times in a game like he did on Saturday - is totally unacceptable.
De Jongh is the full package for Vodacoim Cup rugby - not in the Super 15 or higher league. He proved that in abundance at the EOYT in 2012.

Another usage of raw statistics - when you argue against it all the time. Now suddenly there is a code to crack - the code being De Jongh's performances in selected games.
For convenience sake you just left out the tackle stats and the losing possession stats. Like you said yourself - you will use anything that fits your argument - inconvenient facts are simply ignored.

If somebody does the same with Francois Steyn - you have a fit and say that what is used is raw data. I have done it all he time in the latter case and according to you it remains raw data.
I do the same with dealing with missed tackle ratio's - but in the case of certain players it is according to you raw data - in the case of others it is not.
If you are prepared to use stats - then use it evenly in all cases - not selectively when it fits your argument - that is the honest way to go about things when objectively assessing player performances.

I would rather stay real as well = all the players you mentioned are better performers in their positions than those you support all the time. At least Labuschagne is a real loosie - not like Alberts - who is a lock masquerading as a loosie.
