Joe Pietersen Gets a new wife to Move to Biarritz

The full details of Pietersen's move have not yet been released but as he signed his two year Western Province deal in November 2011 it is expected that he will leave for France after the Currie Cup season.

Man its all bad news from WP these days.  This year was our chance but injuries ruined it. Next year we will have a weaker player compliment and an awful coach remaining. I am not hopeful at the moment.

However big problems are looming.  In the front row we have an ageing Tiaan Libeberg at hooker and no other decent hookers around (Fourie is a 6)

I am not too sure how the prop resources are like. Carstens is gone. Cilliers is ordinary, Harris - is he leaving?  We do have Kitshoff and Malherbe.

Locks Quin Roux left and now Bekker. I guess Elstadt will revert to lock and we will have Etzebeth and Steenkamp.

Loosies - perhaps Burger will be back, Kolisi, Vermuelen ) will his knee stand up) Fourie - if he stays, Rhodes may be down here permanently I am not sure. Armand, Carr. Not a bad first line pack but starting to look thin.

Groom and Schreuder at half back, Grant plus 1 at flyhalf. Jean is getting on, De Jongh is no great shakes, Allende, Van der heever. Habana is going and Aplon is getting on. Taute is he also down here for good. I thought he maybe was. Howard as well with Du Plessis going.  Sweil maybe but also heard rumours about him going to England.

One never knows who they will buy or what new talent will come in - so one will have to see the 2014 Super 15 squad before assessing what the chances are. I remain doubtful about the coaching staff.
