Johan Goosen and the one that got away

 Is that a dik dik ? At least when i used to go deerstalking and hunting Thar and Chamois they didnt look like Bambis munted wee sister.Only way I would hunt that poor wee thing is if I was in the mood for a sammige.

Goosen couldn't hit a barn door, let alone that baby bok. It looks alive, like a pet. Look how comfortable it looks sitting next to them. It's his fat friend that should be worried.

You'd swear Goosen had "banged yo momma" the way you hate him. For the record, I reckon hunting for any reason other than needing the prey for food is the most cowardly act possible.

Killing for the sake of it doesn't sit well with me either.

Especially when you're pointing a high powered rifle with sights at something a mile away.




 

Hunting other than for food is an abomination.   Many years ago as a child I pleaded with my dad not to allow hunting on our farm and he did,   The small bucks afterwards came to graze near the house and it was a pleasure to see them there,  
There is a hunting culture in Europe for years and through the centuries it has been refined to a level where breeding stock are saved and only elderly deer was allowed to be shot as redundant  and  the real numbers were not seriously affected,    
Present hunting is nothing of the sort - a dirty war conducted by upstarts.
Since January - when he decided to unilaterally terminated his contract with Racing  -  Goosen has played no rugby despite his return to Racing in March.    Racing is apparently still paying his salary - but is not selecting the Top 14 player of the year of last year.   Does any serious contributor bn site  know what is going on.  Please note hat any repetitive liars and Village idiots opinions are not called for.        

I know what is going on. He has shown them the middle finger and they are returning the favour.

Why not terminate the contract and move on?

I have been wondering the same thing, CC. Unless they are really pissed off with him and has decided to nail him. Brand him as "not trustworthy" and then keep him off the playing field so he cannot "raise his market value". He should have learnt from the football players. Robin van Persie wasn't happy at Arsenal any more and it showed. He was constantly injured, etc but they didn't sell him and he knew that they held on in the hope that he would come right again. They even gave him the capataincy. He then turned it around, and played out of his socks, even becoming the top league goal scorer and then ManU latched onto him and bought him for £25m in the final year of his contact. A few years later it was the same story and ManU flogged him off to some Greek or Turkish club for something like £7m.

 Game farming is good business these days especially Limpopo province.Prince's  and dignitaries  come out to shoot game and load it back on their jets.

Visited one guesthouse near Botswana border few years back,guy breeds Lions in his farm backyard.Maybe the Lions visited there for inspiration,I would.The farm owner himself must have been a useful sort in the loose scrums,Meads style farmer.

Goosen is a classic example of the instantly anointed youngster....we have wasted years on this physically and mentally fragile bloke.

 The sight of Americans sitting on the back of trucks in a nice comfy chair and driven to some poor creature to shoot is rather revolting .Apart from the Thar and Chamois bucks I ate whatever I shot .My uncle for years was the annual winner of a local competition where you had 24 hours to kill a pig[ had to stick them ] ,a deer and catch a trout .Takes an awful lot of skill to compete let alone win ,it was a privilege to hunt and fish alongside him and me old man and actually getting the big 3 makes you feel like a winner !Plus it makes for a nice feed for the Whanau eh ?

 This player pulled out a twist never seen before to renegate on his word and dismiss his contractual obligations. Quite a lot of people involved in european rugby, from various social, national, racial backgrounds. Fact this kind of stunt came from a SAn player first speaks volume about the work ethics and morality standards held in SA.
