...may have ended his season, but it was enough to make him the only South African in the 365 Team of the Week. Certainly we all wish he had never scored that try.....but it was brilliant. He showed several things in that run:
1) Instant reactions....he immediately saw the opportunity.
2) A brilliant step to put away Gear who had him well covered.
3) Sustained pace, which allowed him to beat the cover defence.
In watching many decades of South African rugby, I can't recall a finer flyhalf's try. The highlight of the season for me, so far.
