John Smit said no to Danie Craven

It's currently reliably reported on the Beeld website, that Danie Craven has approached John Smit through a well known Durban medium. The report goes on to say that Danie, after hearing that Nick Mallet falsely claimed to have been offered the job, felt compelled to come forward and clarify events. - In a tense session run in the lounge of the Durban medium's suburban house, the Sharks Board were all holding hands, willing contact with Danie. Finally with a flickering of lights, Danie made his financial needs known. - When John opined that the amount would break his budget, one Board member asked Danie if he was flexible. There was a clap of thunder and the medium slumped in her chair drooling. The table rattled and the night lights flickered again. - "He's gone", she said after recovering with some ROOIbos tea.
