What dio you know aboutt Jonathan Roche? Although the team to play La Rochelle - Dobson indicat that boh Willemse and Dan du Plessis were injured - Janathan Riche will play in he n012 Jersey on Satrurdaym has not been announced

According to Rugby 365 wwhen Dobson announced the above Dobson menioned he following:-

Young gun Jonathan Roche will wear the No.12 jersey after Dan du Plessis was ruled out for six to eight weeks with a knee injury.

The 22-year-old Roche is seen as a player with a very promising future. He is already on Rassie Erasmus’ radar after being invited to a virtual Springbok alignment earlier this year.

Any idea if Roche indeed has a "promising future" as alleged?.

Mike he looks a very good prospect but we need to see more of him to fully appreciate what he is about

To date we have only had snippets

The Stormers need to play Willemse at 12 and find the right 13 to play outside him.

Nel and Dan du Plessis are too old now and while Similane is a great stepper he lacks pace and is a little fragile defensively

The options at 13 are Roche, Josh Boulle and Bruce Sherwood - the latter two being primarily 12’s but both real class acts who missed most of the season injured

Both Baby Boks in the same team as Porthen and Jurenzo Julius

Hartzenberg could be an option as well

Luke Burger is another centre option. Stormers have good depth.

Mpower

The Stprmers has a vey positive apprroach owards buildin g up a full team.= while both the Sharks and the Bylls have developed deficiencies in that regard, Both the latter twp teams have propblems especially at inside center position - espciallyy when their record in winning matches this year is concerned, I can gove you a strong of under=performing players in that regard.

I think the problem starts with recruiting of younger players and usage of players, - both forwrds and backlne players. lets look at the flyhalf position. Pollard is still a very good flyhalf with no real back-up. The Sharks doe snot have a flyhalf of value,

With Wilco rejoining the Stormers, our scrum power will be Top Notch:) The Young TH Corne Weibach, is impressive and reminds me of Frans Malherbe.

Speaking of Frans, is he ever coming back?

I see Oli Kebble is also back. Mchunu looks Bigger and Vernon Matango is pretty impressive in the Scrums.

Our locks with Ruben V Heerden, Adre‘ Smith, Schickerling and Connor Evans we are covered well. I am not convinced about Moeras at all.

Our Loose Forwards with Paul de Villiers, BJ Dixon, Louw Nel, Keke Morabe, Evan"Berserker" Roos and Marcel Theunissen, we looking good.

Sako Makata is a big Wing at a 103 KG‘s. With Sacha and Jurie at Flyhalf we are set.

At centre and Wing, we have good depth. I think we need more back up on Full Back, as twinkle Toes Galant, blow’s hot and sometimes Very Cold…I mean like North Pole Cold:)

Go Province!
