I have said and before and said it again; he must be our starting 13. Not only is he quick and elusive, but he is tough, nuggety and competitive. The only 13 aside from Fourie to survive defensively since 2005 - That says alot. So, if he offers at the very least assurance defensively, which he has already proved on an unbeaten EOYT under the cosh, what have we to lose? JJ might be faster overall but he can't step or pass. This omission of de Jongh is a huge gaff by Meyer. Thus far we are two years into his reign and have no 13, that's worrying.

Nice impact player for the Stormers. When the guys are fresh his defence is weak and his distribution skills appalling. When legs are tired bring him on as he can beat a tackle.
Simply can't stand up to the heavy traffic. He has under achieved for the Stormers for years and been totally annonymous for the Boks.
Talk of him being a Bok again is utter madness.
I have wondered if he could play wing.
