"Very interesting to read every post about how poor the Baby Boks were, they didn't do this/they didn't do that etc etc and not one post congratulating the winning team IRELAND !!  In case you didn't notice, there were 2 sides on the pitch, and the guys in white were worthy winners."

You are right Cosh, the Bokkies were poor because the Irish outmuscled us and did not allow us to play our game. The reaction overhere is due to the great expectations of our young team. They were prevented from living up to the hype by a focused Irish side, whom I suppose will do good in the tournament. I will support them in the other games (Also Wales).

Fair comment I also said that this was a good Irish side. Fact is, particualry in the first half, they out muscled us.

They cleverly made sure they had a big loose trio and that tipped the scales. Once they matched us physically their chances of winning had to be good.

The French in the past have played locks at loose forwrd against us with good effect. The bench mark for loose forwards is moving up.

But it was not all a weight issue - just some poor play- particualry the charge downs. - were these guys off sides?

Why we expect to dominate witha smaller pack surprises me. Bulle will get a severe snotklap from a full Stormers pack unless they beef up.

The Bok pack in recent years has suffered from having matfield, spies and Brussouw.  On top of this we have had Beast loafing and an average Jannie du plessis and an over the hill John Smit (Brussouw only becomes an option if you have a powerful tight five and two strong loosies - in my opinion). Hence the poor performance of the pack and the poor results.

Bok rugby lives or dies by its pack of forwards above everything else.

Aah lunatic, a username so well suited for you!  As for being a one eyed Irishman, well you're half right ( I've got two perfectly good eyes )  yes I'm Irish ( and very proud of that fact) and I certainly do know what I post.

Now, talking of one eyed lunatics, was the following tale about you by any chance?

A man is strolling past a lunatic asylum when he hears a loud chanting; “Thirteen, thirteen, thirteen” went the noise from within the mental hospital’s wards. The man’s curiosity gets the better of him and he searches for a hole in the security fence. It’s not long before he finds a small crack, so he leans forward and peers in. Instantly, someone pokes him in the eye. As he reels back in agony, the chanting continues; “Fourteen! Fourteen! Fourteen!
