Why that idiot Plum did not start him is beyond me. Instead we see hasbeen Venter at 12 and Hooker moved to 13 Jurenzo comes on and with literally his first touch he weaves some magic and scores This kid is an absolute gem - if he is not at the top of Rassie’s list of new players to cap this year he needs to be shot He is so fucking exciting to watch - I expect something to happen everytime he gets the ball in hand Fuck me he is going to be an unbelievable Bok I’d have him as my Bok 13 right now - makes Jessie look like a club 13 with ball in hand Might lack the nous when it comes to defensive structures but he looks gifted enough to work that all our pretty quickly What a prospect As for the Sharks, they looked like a B team playing against an A team. Yes they were missing many but fuck me they were totally outclassed

Agree with you.  Toulouse made to many handling errors - if that was cut out they would habe been at leat  last by 30 pointsm.   But I like Julius as a center,

Absolute bullshit you have clearly not watched all the games Julius has played And Jessie has done fuck all of note on attack - he has been good but nothing special I prefer Am but he seems to have lost favour since his injury lay off and the fact that he is injured again is not a good sign I’d select Julius as our Bok 13 right now - he is far far better than Jessie and I rate Jessie

Let’s see if Rassie picks him….There is other’s that might get the Call up,like Henco V Wyk. If Julius can carry over his Form to Bok Level it will be good. But I think Erasmus is Set mostly on tried and Tested. So first get picked and go from there….how I waited for Wilco to get picked, but Erasmus took his good old time…..

Dave as I watched Ramos on Saturday, I was struck with the thought that if he kicked that way the Boks would have lost against France Notice France kicks at 71%….5 of 7 kicks made. Ramos makes the other 2 kicks and France wins by 4 points. And we know about the AB red card, the stupid kick by the Pom 15 that led to the match winning penalty.

Harrassmiss is a competent coach of old style Bok rugby..defense and set pieces. And if I were at a Casino I’d bet the same way he does, luckiest coach ever.

Ah so we are back to kicks ignoring the fact that so much has to happen in order for that kick to happen So Rassie is only competent is he? That must make Jake a shit coach then? Defence and set piece only? Would that be the Bok side that scored more tries than any other test side in 2024? Moz give it up man - stop embarrassing yourself

Henco v Wyk looks good, he is another Jessie Kriel type of player, lacks finesse. He relies a lot on power, short and compact who punches way above his weight - reminds me of Kwagga Jurenzo’s class is on a far higher level - he has it all - power, explosive pace off the mark, great step, good hands and a good rugby brain - he reminds me of Am but with more ammunition He looks to have the potential to be the next big thing, pretty exciting considering we have Sacha in the same category

All those things had to happen for Ramos as well…difference is he missed…..2 out of 7 kicks. Pollard missed 0 in 3 matches. All things beyond Harrassmiss’ control that had to go 100% for him for the Boks to win. The loss against Ireland was another 50/50 game and the only one of the four 50/50 games at the WC to go against us. Luckily, there’s that word again, it was in a pool game.

"Henco v Wyk looks good, he is another Jessie Kriel type of player, lacks finesse." Haha see what I mean when I say that Dave doesn't actually watch SA franchise games. Kriel and Henco could not be more different. I mean, they both have two arms and two legs...but that's about where it ends.

Henco as a player is excellent and has what it takes to be a good 13. His strength in breaking tackles, the good lines he runs of his pivot. His defence, he is good at seeing space and using it. This is why Erasmus invited him to the alignment camps. Wasn’t it for his injury, he would have been capped already.

Moz you are speaking crap, we beat France in the WC because we were better than them You don’t beat Scotland, France, England and NZ to win a WC through luck - fuck off that’s just insulting But you carry on embarrassing yourself when it comes to Rassie - we are used to it now

Plum it just confirms to me how little you know about rugby Kriel and Henco are alike - both are robotic - nothing silky about them. No silkiness, no soft hands Am and Jurenzo are similar - silky as fuck Mpower where did I say Henco was not good enough to be a Bok, he is. I’m just saying Jurenzo is far better and I prefer Moodie at 13 to Henco. Henco would be my third in line behind Julius and Moodie Henco busty tackles, Jurenzo attacks space with skill as does Moodie

Dave, I'm sure you must not ever have actually watched Henco play if you think he's robotic.

His game is based around opportunism, on attack and defence. The polar opposite of being robotic...

LOL Tell me you've never watched him play without telling me you've never watched him play.

He is robotic just like Kriel is. Plum yet again you confirm your ignorance. He relies on busting tackles not opportunism . He is deceptively strong and very good defensively. There is nothing silky about him, he hustles and bustles just like Kriel. There is nothing subtle about them and they don’t display that rugby software and hands to make them special - it’s all robotic. Am on the other hand, glides and has an amazing rugby IQ - he is silky with great hands, subtle touches - makes the right decisions at the right time. Jurenzo Julius looks to be cut from the same cloth You have direct and abrasive in Henco and you have subtle and skillful in Julius and Moodie. What’s great about both is that they also have the physicality required I like Henco but give me Julius and Moodie all day long. Henco is good the other two are special just like Sacha, Willemse, Arendse, Kolbe and Fassi are Special players are more likely to succeed at test level than good ones are It’s like comparing Hanekom / Roos to Wiese - I much prefer the skill and power of Hanekom and Roos to the sheer power of Wiese but to Wiese’s credit that power is making a big enough impact at test level to keep us interested in him Whether the same happens with Henco at test level, time will tell. But with special players like Moodie and Julius you just know skill and strength will triumph at test level

I never said he was silky. I said he was very opportunist in how he plays. He looks for gaps, spots moments to make big plays by uses his keen reading of the game to get an edge. Kriel is robotic. More of an athlete than a thinker. More "reliable" and risk averse. I don't have much issue with your takes on Julius. ..but Ethan Hooker is better. But Kriel and Henco are totally different players and rely on very different strengths to play at the top level.
