Jurie Roux - who does he thinks he is bluffing

The following statements are attributed to Roux explaining the situation as to the foreign-based players:- "SARU CEO Jurie Roux said they will be in action for their respective clubs this weekend but will rejoin the Springbok squad next week." "Most of these players recently joined the French league and although we could've opted to keep them with the squad to prepare for the Australasian leg, we decided to adhere to their requests to allow them to return to their clubs for matches this weekend" So the ROYAL WE have decided to release them for their club games this weekend. WE HAD NO SAY IN THE MATTER SINCE THE IRB REGULATIONS DO NOT CATER FOR OFF WEEKS. We released nothing - we had no legal basis so we could NOT do ANYTHING ELSE BUT LET THEM GO OR PAY DAMAGES RUNNING INTO MILLIONS OF RAND. That is the long and the short of the matter. After the All Blacks test in Eden Park - there is another off weekend and the same farce will come to the fore again. If we do not pay up - the five mostly useless buggers will be off to France again unless we fork out the millions in contract breach claims. It would be better for Roux to speak the truth and not portray an image that can harm his own credibility. You can bluff most of the people most of the times - but not all the people all the time.
