Just a non-rugby question

Why are US firms like KPMG and  McKinsey such major crooks?   They were part of a billions rand looting of the SA economy  and seems to be in trouble now - they will have to do some explainiung to the US court since they have been or are on the point of being charged for criminality and should close down operations in SA.
SA Firms are rapidly dumping KPMG and they will run for cover soon.

It wasn't really the Dutch who Apartheid. It was actually the entire world who practised segregation and many still does. It was only the Nats who made the mistake of giving it a name and placing it in the law books. The rest of the world just carried on and practised it any way. Ask yourself the question: "Why did other countries have to introduce law, prohibiting segregation and discrimination if it didn't exist"? Of course it bloody well existed everywhere. The mean Nats are always rubbished about Basil D'Oliviera. Do yourself a favour and Google Krom Hendricks and see where segregation in sports started in SA.

 The Headquarters of KPMG effectively has been in New York since 2001 - they are an international company.   All statements of KPMG on the latest scandal emanated from New York.
I think KPMG and McKinsey took flight when they were threatened by laying charges against the companies in the US.

South Africa is probably less than one percent of the revenues of these large organizations. I'm guessing McKinsey has more than 10 US clients each with revenues greater than SA as a whole. These are ethical lapses of individuals, not a programme in the companies.

 The US prosecute companies for corruption in other countries. A few years back, I think Hitachi got a hefty fine for giving Lethuli House a bribe involving the Meduppi Power Plant, and surely everyone can recall the charges in the whole IFA debacle. KPMG might be in real trouble in the US as a result of this. Time will tell.

I started school in 1963 which means there is no way that I would not know that Verwoerd was born in The Netherlands. LOL. I was in standard 1 when he was assassinated.
