In almost any other universe, Jesse Kriel would be recognised as a great centre who has made a huge contribution to Springbok rugby and who was part of one of the all-time great centre partnerships that ushered in a Golden Era for Springbok rugby.

On this board he's called "Jessica" and he's derided and ridiculed.

It's like we're in the Twilight Zone.

Probably the player of the tournament in 2023...in my book anyway...form of his life...on here he get's pulled down like 'n kreef in 'n emmer...negative group delusion wrapped in a free thinker's blankie.

Old RedBalls is a big old fake and his opinions are guided purely by the need to oppose the opinions of those he dislikes.

How boring.

He's been more moderate since his return, but that's probably short lived...but he's not the only one.

No one is denying that Kriel can defend and he works hard, DB.

But defending well does not automatically make him a complete player.

Against Ireland this weekend he had a clear overlap. Three attackers outside him, space created, and support on both sides.

Instead of drawing and passing, he ran straight into contact. Which ever way you look at it, it wasn’t clever decision making.

Poor reading of the moment, and it costed us points.

Modern rugby at test and franchise level punishes players who can’t adapt in broken play.

You can be brave, disciplined and still make the wrong call. Kriel does this too often, and it’s valid to point it out.

What frustrates people isn’t his defence.

It’s the one dimensional pattern reinforced by a forward heavy game plan where creativity and instinct are overridden.

Where is Brown Ball??

When opportunities are ignored, criticism follows.

That’s not group delusion, that’s rugby reality.

Great? Nope decent, it was a 2 on one overlap which he exploited well.

See indeed the twilight zone of the Mamparas Union. Well we are shining some light into their darkness and are they squirming!

Once again these Mamparas are right and the rest if the Rugby World is wrong.

Jessie, not Jessica was so highly valued that he has captained the Boks on a number of occasions. One of the fittest players in the team..

But these boneheads write him off showing zero respect.

@Beeno1

How much respect did you show Matfield? When the rest of the world told us how he was the best lock of a generation, were you a bonehead then or just now?

The difference is I slagged off a guy who was the pappest lock ever to play for the Boks but I didn't slag off numerous players and the coach. Nor did I say when the Boks won a match it was due to luck etc etc. Nor did I say Du Toit twice world player of the years was merely process tackler. or that the Boks had a soft under belly ETC ETC ETC ETC.

I am rejoicing about this incredible success not like these perpetual whingers whose aim it is to belittle and smear Rassie and some great Boks.

HUGE DIFFERENCE

Maybe Xavi if you engaged your two lonely brain cells before posting you could work all that out. Hahahahahahahahahahaha Perhaps one of the brain cells has shorted out!

Xavi, some people, Like Has been and his " Mamparra‘s Union " think in a very rigid, fixed way and cannot cope when someone has different opinions to themselves or

"the Volk"

Instead of thinking for themselves or accepting debate, they shut it down and attack anyone who doesn’t conform.

"Nonconformity" is not a option for them.

If you think differently, there brains go into overload, and promptly short-circuit.

It must be very hard, to be stuck in this relentless cycle…

Let’s pray, brothers and sisters, that the real Mampara’s Union may yet be saved from burning in eternal damnation…

In the name of the Great Eagle Spirit, may wisdom descend upon the lost souls of the true Mampara’s Union… Amen :)

@Beeno1

Welcome to the Mamparas and Boneheads club then. We ask that you leave your hypocrisy at the front door.
