The time of writing was near the end of working day time in Japan and nearly 24 hours after the game. Subsequent to that there was no news as to citing so it is clear by now there will be no citing.
Good news. The Beast has always been a clean player and that hit was out of character....but it was a potential red card. He's a lucky fellow.

I think the tackle was more accidental than deliberate and it was accepted by WR as such. .
It doesn't matter ... he could have broken the man's neck ... it was dangerous play ... and that warrants a red card.

Anyone can let a glass slip out of their hands and crash to the floor, with it's contents...…... but how the hell do you claim it's an accident when you tip the glass over and dump the contents on the floor, in a deliberate manner...…
It was stupid, but I must say..... that completely dumbstruck look on the Beast's face was almost comical when he put his hands up pleading for forgiveness...… but it could have been a very serious injury indeed, and in my opinion, deserved a red

I agree with the yellow, but expected a red. Was very relieved when it wasn't. The card system is flawed...God forbid it should decide the final!
It was an obvious card lucky not be red c arded or suspended. The panel who make these calls come up eith all kinds of excuses when it's a player or team they like. Bottom line.... did he nail the Jap badly enough to threaten his life.. yeah sooo red or suspension.
