Just got back from dinner at the Hohenort

where my sister in law (Who is CEO of a secretriat who handels the 12 elders)  has organised an event here in Cape Twon for them.

I have thus not watched the game but I think my fears have been realised. I noted last week that I was worried about the pack. A 100kg hooker, 110 kg prop, 110 kg lock and two 100 kg flankers. Then two smallish half backs and two very small members in the back three. They are just to lightweight to cope. Alistair of course suffering as he does from small man syndrome thinks the small guys can cut it. Often the small guys like to think that size doesnt matter but unfortunately it does. I will be surprised to see I am wrong on this score.

Some folk were singing the praise of Cilliers. I said he is no international class prop. Wonder how that went. 

Alistair needs to understand the basics of rugby which are still a mystery to him.

Why he is wasting time on Scurra, Kolisi, Cilliers and Steenkamp is a mystery. Why he thinks 4 the backline can have so many small men is equally a mystery.  He simply went too far with the small men. This WP pack is not what you want in the Super 15 so why waste time on these players etc etc.

Anyhow I need to watch the game and see what happened.

Very glad to hear Du Toit did well and wonder how M alherbe, Frans, Alberts and Burger went.

Actually Hasbeen Cilliers was fine.....the WP scrum worked ok throughout. But the effect of the Beast, Bismarck, Stephanie and Alberts was to totally take out your man Fourie, Scurra, Kolisi and Vermeulen. Schalk is miles away from playing form

In the backs Schreuder gave away a try and his Pienaar-like step and pass thing killed our back play. Jean had a poor game, as did de Allende apart from his try. Aplon was a lone threat and well watched by the Sharks.

How was the cuisine at the Hohenhort, I'm thinking about stopping by there again on my next trip?

Mozart are fabricating things again.  Steyn made one tackle on De Allende and missed one as well.   De Allende did about double the work Steyn did -  but did not get much support from the rest of the WP backline - De Villiers was very quiet.

Alberts was not mentioned once by the commentators in the first half and did comparatively little in the second half as well - another Mozart fabrication.

Fourie vanished into thin air today and was only seen twice when he gave away two penalties - he is not a very effective defender in any event.   

The two players that pulled it off for the Sharks were Lambie in the backline and Du Toit amongst the forwards.  Both were awesome.   Du Toit in fact outperformed Etzebeth today.   You should have seen the tackle Du Toit did on De Villiers - amazing.
