The other aspect is that who will be the Captain if Read is rested. Read was developed while Richie was Captain but I don't see who they would pick if Read is rested. They have a leadership group but two are injured, i.e. Cane and Cruden.

 Caned ou  would be captain. He looks a lot like ou mccheat!

 JW, if Read is rested (or when he'll be rested) the current Vice-Captain will take the task, Ben Smith. He's been already working as Read's second during his 15 winning tests as captain.

As I said in another thread, cannot see Read resting at least untill the 3rd Bledisloe. If he's rested against the argies the backrow would surely be:

6. E. Dixon (1)   7. A. Savea (6)   8. L. Squire (3)

with a total 10 test caps btwin all of them,...... won't happen,...... Read will play and will play also against SA, against who the AB will play with their best possible team (and this includes Read as the captain and nº8)
