Kenya withdraw from Currie Cup

...Kenya had applied to the South Africa Rugby Union in November to play in the tournament which brings together the top provincial sides in the country but as of last week they had not responded... Lucky as that could have been highly embarrassing for SA had they kicked yarpy butt... Kenya have one of the most improved Sevens teams in world rugby and it can only be a matter of time before their 15's team is competetive..

Mango said proposals were on the table to host some matches on Kenyan soil unlike the Vodacom Cup, where Kenya played all the matches in South Africa. “It was very expensive to play and keep the team in South Africa for two months and one of the proposals accepted is to have some games played in Nairobi,” added Mango.
