Keo has again made statements only he can come up with.   Amongst others he dwelt with is the Kolisi cse whre he wrote as follows:-

"Siya Kolisi emphatically announced himself good enough to lead the Springboks against England. Kolisi was colossal.  His counter ruck clean out of Blues scrumhalf Sam Nock in the 14th minute was brutal and his defensive hit on Sonny Bill Williams was legal, controlled and made a massive statement. Kolisi all week talked the biggest of games and then went out and played the biggest of games. It is exactly what you want from a Bok captain."

He based his arguments on the issue of ball carries and his one case where the Stormers counter-rucked and got the ball back when he in  fact came from the side of the ruck and whether a penalty was not given is a debate to be considered.

However in defense Kolisi was seriously defective and in fact was not acceptable:

Tackles made                -     6

Tackles missed              -     5

Ball Possession losses   -    3

Fact is Kolisi has been seriously defective in defense and for a loosie that is just not good enough and excusable.

I have never been a fan of Kolisi until last year where he was the best player for the Boks for the first third of the season.

His form did dip later on- but this was when the team reverted to stone age crash ball.

Keo is a mixed bag. one thing though is he is a plotically correct weasel re quotas. He will always come down on the quota side.

He makes good points to but must be read with care.

Not recommended for gullible dorks like ou warped DUD who is so easily misled  and clueless!!!

Not good tackling stats, but then again Stephanie missed 4 tackles while making 9...that apparently is okay? And of course there is this: S KolisiF 0 3 10 60 3 1 2 0 Kolisi made 60 metres in 10 runs....including 3 clean breaks....second most metresof any player in the game. Mike when presenting us this information, trust the reader with both sides of the argument...thanks.

Mozart

You indeed are over-prejudiced and making a fool of yourself  - this was about Kolisi - Du Toit had nothing to do with it.

Can you read English - I did refer to the ball carries issue and had no argument about that one,

I wish you would practice what you preach above.

So in essence you are saying Kolisi cant defend well enoughto be the Bok flank? Here are this tackling stats for 2017....tackles made/missed and the opponent: France 14/2. France 14/2. France 13/1. Argentina 8/1. Argentina 8/1. Australia 8/0. New Zealand 13/1 ( in our 57 to 0 drubbing). Australia 6/2. New Zealand 3/1. Itealand 9/0 (in our 38 to 3 drubbing) France 9/0 Wales 9/2. Overall 112 tackles made out of 125 attempts for a 90% success ratio and that disqualifies him?

Stop talking BS.   I quoted the stats of Kolisi on Saturday - the game forming the basis of the  argument raised by KEO,

Mozart - Kolisi's had a good success rate - but for a loosie his tackle count was low.   An openside flank normally has a rate count of 13  to 15 per match.    In the case you are talking about 12 tests with an average off 8,3 tackles per match - which is lower than expectation.   So keep to something you know - your argument is beyond y our knowledge of he game.

Oh no Tokkie....not the usual slime. You said Kolisi HAS BEEN seriously defective in defence. Clearly referring to his record to counter Keo's claim that he should be Bok captain. I provide a stellar test tackling resume which blows your point into the weeds....13 tackles/1 miss against NZ in a test where we are beaten 57 to 0 and they were running rampant! Enjoy your egg .

Mozart

Why do you come up with a statement without substance.   Keo made a stamen based on the game on Saturday and I responded on what happened on Saturday.   I do not like hype and responded accordingly.

In general I stated from the start that Kolisi will be he openside flank of the Springboks in numerous recent postings - even though there would be problems with that selection.

So their is no egg - fact is your subsequent tirades about my responding posting to KEO deserves addition to the normal egg mountain covering you.

No you said: 'Fact is Kolisi has been seriously deficicient in defence and for a loosie that is just good enough and excusable'....a blanket condemnation of his past performance defensively. You never had a clue what Kolisi's test stats are....you just blurted out your bias. Well enjoy your egg.

This is impossible - I dealt with Keo comments and you just imagine somethin out of the blue and totally irrelevant.   No way did  I deal with any test he played in.   Don't imagine anything - just deal with facts.

Mar 04, 2018, 11:14 Beeno That is where things go wrong, Qoutas do not win games and losing teams find the pavilions empty. The weakest positions in the Stormers are all filled by quota players - eg the wings and the loosies, Kolisi is just what he is - a quota pick Clevermike.

All of the Sharks, Bulls and Lions have better performance records than Carr and Kolisi - so lets leave it there. ......Clevermike

Guscott did, however, use the example of flanker Siya Kolisi as a black player who has excelled for the Springboks. “Kolisi is there on merit, and when Eben Etzebeth was replaced during the game against Wales he was promoted to captain. The good news is that Kolisi is using his high profile to help black and coloured youngsters to do what he has done, and is a great role model. What is also important is that he has been backing up his position with strong performances on the pitch.” '

So hard to follow. SA people coming to this board are unable to stick to their opinion.

A few months, the forum opinion on this player was recalled: he was a quota player, this to illustrate the fact that SA has not trained one single decent non white player.

The quota player status was dismissed.

Today, this player is again considered a quota player by the very same people who denied the status when pointed out that SA has not trained one single decent non white player.

No respect even of their own opinions.

Conclusion: this player is a quota player. Over the past 25 years, SA has not trained one single decent non white player.

That of course is rubbish......just to provide one counter example I have always been a fan of the Beast. But there isn't a poster on here who wouldn't have picked Habana, JP, Chester Williams or indeed the Beast in their primes. Nobody is not going to support a player of colour who is a worthy Bok. You are living in the 18th century.....clean your mind, say goodbye to that little chip on your shoulder and stop wasting your life as a victim. Make an effort to contribute, you will get a fair response.
