Great game by the Kings. About 30% possesion and still able to draw.
Must have been the handoff of the season so far by Engelbrecht.

Kings should have won that. If only Whitehead had kicked that simple penalty in front of the posts - what a crucial miss. That Engelbrecht is a beast - where the hell has he been all these years?
Now that I have seen th Brumbies performances against the Stormers, the Bulls and the Kings I can understand why the Sharks played so badly against them.
In the first instance there was the tackle situation - with Francois Steyn missing three tackles and Pietersen two. Those five efforts - or lack of it - resulted in three tries by the Brumbies. Coupled that to the relieving kick of Steyn down the middle of the field that preceded the one try - one has to wonder - whether the Brumbies really won the game - or the Sharks played silly buggers in that game.
We will see whether the Sharks are really up to stanbdard tonight and whether they can perform better than their Brumbies effort.
Here we have good old Mike lying about a game again. Now all of a sudden Frans and JP missing tackles led to tries - what a load of shit and yet another bunch of lies
Saffex
Did they miss the tackles - yes or no. Did the missed tackles let to a sequence of plays resulting in the tries - yes or no?
Don't be so quick to call people liars - it really is not nice.
No they did not miss tackles that led to tries
You always talks about context of games - - do you actually no what is meant by sequenceof plays. An easy example is as follows:-
* the tackle is missed - the ballis carried forward by the carrier who broke the tackle - he passed the ball to another player - who in his trun passed it to a third player who scored the try.
Do you now understand that the original missed tackle through play sequence actually resulted in the try?
If the original tackle was not missed the resultant sequence of plays would have been different.
Capice?
I don't think there is one person, anywhere that called the Kings to not lose this game. Saff and Mike, stop it, bad boys, BAD!!!
I think the relegation match between the Lions and Kings should be called off.
The Kings have impressed more than any other new team in the SuperXV and can only get better.
They have an excellant fan base and deserve it more than the Lions.
The Lions made an announcement that their tour to America/Canada has been called off due to the quality of the opposition- scared they are going to lose? Typical mis-management of the once great lions and todays pussies
Yea just WOW.... That jake white must be a 'great coach' eh lads? lol.
But seriously bloody good going kings! they could even make the top 10 or possibly even 8 at this rate!
Mike your take on Frans and JP is about as accurate as your take on the Saders try you balmed Jantjies for - all just a bunch of lies
brumbies are far from the real deal, but they are a lot better then this match would suggest.
dont be fooled by this upset result, i dont rate the brumbies, but there have been plenty of upsets in the past before, last year the sharks lost to the lions, bulls lost to the blues, crusaders lost to the rebels and while it was onkly a draw, the kings efforts are right up there considering the momentum the brumibes had leading into the match and the fact the kings are new and playing outside of SA.
kings were lucky to get away witrh a draw IMO, but they have some real stars in their team, jacques englebrecht is a freaking animal, he hasnt played a single minute of bad rugby all year.
im really impressed with schalk ferrera too, even if he did get that yellow, he has been a real anchor for the kings in 2012.
i agree with sharkbok, scrap the relegation match with the lions, the kings have the potential to do some big things, imagine what the new kids on the block could do if they had SARU supporting them instead of having them nip at their heels every step they make.
oh and what about wimpie van der walt??? best loose forward perforamnce from anyone all year.
his parents should have named him bad mother fu*ker instead of wimpie, cos that was one of the most badd ass performances ive ever seen.
I made a post earlier this year stating that the kings have some half decent players. Nice to see Waylon Murrey back on the field. Just hope he can stay injury free. With Strauss and Murrey the kings have 2 real juggernauts in the midfield. I'm glad to see that SA actually do have some great debt. Just wondered why player such as Schalc Ferrera have been misused by the stormers for so many years. The kings just need to cap of their fine form with a win agains the rubbles.
Agree, we all have been a bit harsh on the Kings, no thank to Cheeky Watson. I think both Cheeky and White are cut from the same cloth, they both are whingers.
Congratulations to the KINGS. What a spiritted performance!!! Hard uncomprimising rugby.
I will NEVER agree that cheekys cowardly and race tinged way in which he gained entry was accpetable. They should have earned their spot by merit which could well have happened in time.
However they have a great support base as opposed to the pathetic fans support by the Lions ala taipansy and company etc.
The Lions after the departure of luyt and what was almost a conspircy to bring them down faded. Mitchell looked to be getting them back on track but unfortunately after winning the Currie Cup were hit by horrendous injuries otherwise may have had a good Currie Cup last year.
Looking at this match against the brumbies one has to admmit the Kings were lucky to win but hey they played their hearts out and so good luck to them. Ben Alexander through the game away. Brumbies also turned down a number ofpenalties and had some 70% possession. Jake also understandably rotated some players and had travel fatigue to contend with. But the KINGs had massive attitude and played with 14 men in the closing minutes.
As sharkbok says the region may have some potential! With great fn support etc they could have the fiancial muscle to build a really good squad.
Of course this does show how tough the SA Conference is. Please note nz and oZ oaks.
There is immense depth but the ability to spot talent is usually abysmal. Hats off to Solomon , an astute coach, for cobbling together a team.
abnob you may not realise it but Jake did not coach Ben Alexander to take out Sykes like that and throw the game away.
Jake is a fine coach so no more irrational bleating please abnob.
Thanks
Phwooooor, looks like my mild attempt at banter caught me the biggest fishy of them all! 2 bad he's an ugly bugger an i'll have to throw em back!
Jacks decent, i know that!
