Kiwis answer me this...
@redsneck,
a north vs south or probables vs possibles benefits one group of people only, the fans.
theres too much rugby games as its is, between the club commitments and international series, so while a SOR type of a comp would be awesome, it would have to be done without the stars or incumbent players who are prepping for the RC/4nats.
australia can afford to have state of origin series, cos rugby league at international level is next to non exsistent, take out great britain, australia and NZ and whose left??? france, and the french in league is the equivlanet of smaoa in union,theyre tough but will lose 99 out of 100 games played against the top teams.
a SOR format would be a good chance to give the fringe players a go, but it wont rack enough $$$ like aussies SOR for the NZRU to really it give it a go.
ahh yes - I do see your p.o.v ur all too scared of exposing ur cheating tactics against each other. Its a shame because it would be spectacle and I'm sure (after reading thru cane v todd thread) the kiwis would get quite passionate of their island of origin.... but without ABs wouldn't be worth wasting time on if u are too soft
you joining the fantasy league redsman?
I'm sure there was a North vs South series before the Super format....
They are so dominat thanks to Pacific Islanders they lure over like 40 years ago with job opportunities. Pacific Islanders are perfect rugby machines.
We are all kiwis mate!
Not as simple as that spoon. Look at the team that spanked your boys at soweto last year. Only one player of pacific island descent (Nonu) started that day.
After 40 years they will be Kiwi's just win.
@Kudwig
lol Hosea Gear, Aaron Smith, Keven Mealamu, Piri Weepu, Aaron Cruden, Tamati Ellison, Liam Messam. Moari's are natives of NZ same build as Pacific Islanders
My post did not get posted.
What I said was: The human race all came from the same point of origin so if you want to go back and look at origins how far do you want to go.
Let's keep it simple and stick to nationalities as of now. A kiwi is a kiwi and a SA is an SA.
justwin let me ask you this question
Would guys like Nonu, Jerry Collins, Tuilagi's, Mealamu, Loe, Brown, Bakkies Botha, Martin Johnson scare the living shit out of you?
Spooony: yes they would scare the living shit out of me, lol
I played rugby for many years. Finally (after a 30 year absence) went out as a trainer a few months back & realised I must have shrunk or else the rugby player of today is a giant. Well truth is it is probably both, lol
But yes, if I had to run onto a field and play against those guys I would be running off again real quick, lol
@spoony & ludwig,
all kiwis are pacific islanders, pacific islanders is a term used to describe people from polynesia (which NZ is part of), micronesia and one other nesia which has slipped my mind for the moment......o_O
also spoony kev mealamu is not maori, he was born in waikato but has samoan blood.
@spoony,
All Blacks have pretty much shown that they can rise to the physical challenge, and if u look at the record since Boks returned from ther sporting ban, its the wallabies who have the best record over the All Blacks, they even have a better record over the Boks, but while theyre not chumps, theyre not exactly known for being the most physical team.
what they have shown over the yearsat different stages when they were at their peak or near abouts is smarts, IMO the wallys are a very smart team, far from the perfect remedy to the All Blacks, but when they have gotten the better of us, it was the most convincing of all the efforts.
no team playing the All Blacks has ever made me nervous like the wallabies in 98-01.
I did not say he was a Moari. Messam is a Moari. I added that before you jump out as saying Messam is not a Pacifics people. Oh yes NZ called the people from the other Islands or who jave their background Pacifics people because saying all is Pacific Islanders you ignore the culture of the Moari's who are different from the Samoans, Tonga, Fijians and others.
As for Australia. Come again? NZ have been dominant over a long period of time. That is past the last 20 years. 20 Years do not give you suchh a record. It would have been higher if it was not for SA. Couple of wins the last 20 years with illegal blocking and a monster pack does not qualify you as set out to do it. It qualifies as try,
@spoony,
"lol Hosea Gear, Aaron Smith, Keven Mealamu, Piri Weepu, Aaron Cruden, Tamati Ellison, Liam Messam. Moari's are natives of NZ same build as Pacific Islanders"
this reply of urs to ludwig to implied that kev was a maori, no biggie though.
kind of lost me with that last paragraph, but both the wallys and Boks have played more games against the All Blacks since Boks came out their sporting ban, then the Boks for their enitre history before the ban. thats 20 years vs nealry 70 years of rugby.
so i wouldnt brush the wallys victory over the All Blacks so easily aside.
Sasuke
When were you born? I take it you do not know what a NZ vs SA match really means to most of the people who chose not to ignore ccertain parts of history to make their point look better?
http://springbokrugby.webs.com/
@spoony,
i was born in wellington but raised in inverveags in southland, its why my two fave teams are the canes and highlanders who annoyingly are also the only NZ teams to not win a super rugby title.
and im not ignoring parts of history, i just grew up in a different rugby generation where the wallabies were our number one foes and not the Boks.
when the Boks had their sporting sanctions lifted, i heard all the old storied from my old man about the Boks this and the Boks that, but while weve havent had it all go the All Blacks way the 32 wins from 47 games since the Boks return has left me with a meh on my face regarding the Boks.
theres a term in NZ that best sums it up, All Black fans would rather win the bledisloe cup over the TriNats, channel 3 news even did a poll to this effect which 85% folks polled agreed on, this shows in a small way what the wallys do mean to All Blacks rugby. it dosent diminish the AB/Bok rivalry
for the record, i was for a long time one of those folks that rated the wallys more, but IMO the Boks are the All Blacks No1 rivalry for one main reason, SA is the only country where NZ dosent have a superiror win record over the host nation, 44 tests, Boks have won 24, All Blacks 19. 6 more test wins in SA and the All Blacks empire will have reached all corners of the rugby world.
something tells me this feat will be accomplished in my life time though, :o)
They would rate the Wobs more or see the Bledisloe cup more because the trophy is older than the Tri Nations.
The NZ and SA rivalry were test series and tours. That is why the 96 win meant so much to the players. The older guys and some of the older NZ supperters maybe know how much it meant to the NZ players.
That is also why the new generation Kiwi's ignore the Cavaliers. Even if it was most of the Kiwi team that went and win the WC. Winning a test series in SA meant so much to them thaey would face the posibility of a life ban for a bit of money.
Reason why NZ invited SA over because it attracted crowds like 50 000 people. It was record numbers. Also there was the added small little thing of you Kiwi's and Aussies throwing those Boers woman and children in concentration camps and letting 20 000 of them die.
That is why they see blood against England and forutanetly the newer generations have forgotten the parts of the Kiwi's and Aussies who actually help the British conquer SA and then started segregation with the racial division.
Also the Boers found a way to get the British back and that is beat them at their own. The bonus was you can fuck up them up while 50 000 people went nuts a long the field. Their fight was with the Europeans. Not the NZ natives. So including them into it would be unjust as they did not do them wrong.
Australiia haven't won the Bledisloe cup for how long btw? Do you think they still bother?
@spooney number of reasons why Aussies haven't won a bledisloe in a while but I'll start with 2. 1. Crappy kiwi coach for the last 6 yrs not playing to Aussie strengths. 2. Never using home ground advantage... There ar more kiwis at aust bledisloe a everywhere but bris.... Aussies just aren't as rabid about the code as kiwis..... But I think with coach and few hi profile rl players coming over to rugby his may start to change
@spooney number of reasons why Aussies haven't won a bledisloe in a while but I'll start with 2. 1. Crappy kiwi coach for the last 6 yrs not playing to Aussie strengths. 2. Yup, just to reiterate what sasu has said, i'd much rather the ABs win the Bledisloe over the RC any day. I was only 6 in 1981 so I have no memories of the "traditional" rivalry between NZ and SA apart from what ive seen on TV and in books. For me, watching the ABs beat the Wobblies is as good as it gets. Sure, I love the AB V Bokke matches too but after 20 years of dominating SA'n rugby, I have become apathetic about it all. This is why I dont really care if SARU decide to leave the SANZAR triumvirate and run up north. Australasian rugby managed without them during sanctions, they can do it again if they have to.
Having said that, I still think beating SA in SA is one of the greatest challenges in world rugby and Bokke fans are generally (there are exceptions of course) more sophisticated than their Australian counterparts.
TRC is shit. Tours were much better. But Australia have won nothing for so long wehy they still bother with one? Red don't blame a Kiwi coach after all you are fielding Kiwi's as well. Its funny how Australian natiol team went down the drain along with their Super rugby expansions. Should have given that 5th spot to the Kings IMO
Sasuke
WC mean more mate and last time I checked we had not as much trouble as the Kiwi's winning theirs.
@redsneck,
LMAO, :oD
"Its definitely a bit weak for kiwis to claim so many wallabies as kiwis even though they themselves live here/ the players themselves have lived here all their lives........ so bottom line"
i completely agree, but i cant help but think that considering ur past arguments on NZ players stealing players from other islands, that theres a lot of,,,,,,whats the word im looking for,,,,,,,,,,,
hy·poc·ri·sy
Noun
The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense. :oD
FYI - according to australian immigrations affairs office, there are 600,000 NZ born kiwis living in OZ.
@spoony,
"WC mean more mate and last time I checked we had not as much trouble as the Kiwi's winning theirs."
ur right there, but RWC is still in its infancy with a total of 7 being played so far. mark my words, in our lifetime, or at least my life time, u will see the RWC record being monoplised by the All Blacks just like every other tournament/trophy in world rugby.
in theTriNats first 7 years (1996-2002) we only won 4 of them, but fast forward to 2013 and we now have 11 or 10 and 1 RC/4nats.
so savour the moment, cos IMO in the next 20 years, ur comment wont have any legs to stand on.
Red _ Maoris living in Oz are affectionately known by Kiwis as Mozzies. (Maori Aussies)
And Kiwis wouldn't be World Champions at Rugby League,
World Champions in Rugby Union,
World Champions in Rugby Sevens, without Australia,
So thanks Red for propping us up by providing such weak opposition.
Kiwis don't qualify for much in OZ though do they so not sure how treating us as second class citizens is in fact propping us up.
The truth is Kiwis find it very easy to get work in OZ due to our strong work ethic and while we're busy propping up the Arstralian economy the Aussies are all sitting at the pub.
@redsneck
"As an aussie I don't have time to get into small minded kiwi ignorance about how things really are... the FACT that you would not have any RL team without the NRL certainly highlights kiwis"
o_O
NRL first game 20th apr 1908
kiwis first game 1st jan 1908
doth mother know ur foot is in ur mouth??? LMAO, :oP
"not to mention that most kiwis claim the beldisloe as being the most important sporting event.... if you ask aussies it would prbly be the 25th most important sporting event."
yet the beldsiloe is the only rugby event in both league and union to sell out the MCG, something that even SOR couldnt do.
and the most televised sporting event in OZ was also the 2011 All Blacks vs wallys test, albeit not a bledisloe cup.
" BTW how do you guys go in any other sport than rugby as we all know that RL is not even worth debating........ "
yes, i can tell its not worth mentioning by the 7 times u mentioned RL in this thread, o_O
"IF kiwis are so far dominant over every else in rugby union WHY don't you contend against yourselves??????"
trust u to advocate playing with urself, but stop hiding behind that very yellow wallaby jersey bro, lolz, :oP
u cant be the best by playing oursleves, u are only the best by playing and beating everyone else more times then they do u, somehting the All Blacks do by a significant margin, :o)
@redsneck,
"the reason the MCG sold out was becusae its full of kiwis like yourself..............."
the first All Blacks game i went to live in OZ was a 07 bledisloe at MCG, so watch the repaly of it where u can, cos i can assure, there wre plenty of kiwis, but it was the wallabies who dominated the number in the crowds.
and if hypothetically speaking lets say ur it was all kiwis argument does hold water, what about the No1 TV ratings with the All Blacks v wallabies in 2011???
"And Leagueys in their wisdom played a game between QLD and NSW in VIC a state that has ZERO interest in any other codes than AFL and soccer....................... "
and yet somehow they still managed fill in stadiums everytime the All Blacks play.
have u ever watched the storm play finals in melbourne??? obviously not, otherwise u wouldnt say something so stupid. VIC is known as the sporting capital in australia cos they support all the codes, its why the have two a league teams, two cricket teams, an NBL team, an NRL team, a spXvV team, the vast majority of the AFL teams, none of that would be possible if they had zero interest in other sports bar AFL and soccer aye???
"one would think IF kiwis really were smart enough and competitive enough (but obviously hollow cheats) then they would have the balls to play each other in a passionate Island of origin competition to prove once and for all who is dominant"
we have already gone through this and my first post addressed on this thread addressed the issue to which u replied
"ahh yes - I do see your p.o.v....
Its a shame because it would be excellent spectacle and I'm sure (after reading thru cane v todd thread) the kiwis would get quite passionate of their island of origin.... but without ABs wouldn't be worth wasting time on it... love to see kiwis smash each other up in the lead up to bledisloe..........................
Thanks for answering that for me..."
i recommend u see a dr ASAP as ur mind seems to be on the wane. take a lot of omega three and start eatimg more fish in ur diet, best u get on top of these issues before u look even more the fool then u already do, :o)
Ur talking crap kiwi sucker what a surprise for a kiwi....! Think what u like if it makes u feel more important by beating teams / fans that simply don't have the same care factor... If kiwis are too soft to take each other on in island of origin speaks volumes about their character...... Full of excuses when reality is ur too scared because would expose ur selves to cheating tactics u use against rest of rugby world"...... Soft as they get.... As for Melbourne people...... They don't even know the difference between rugby and league..... The only ones who do are the migrants......... Oh yep that you
@redsneck,
talk about losing the plot, u just went off on so many different tangents that ur mind literally exploded and had mental diarrhea.
lets take a quick look at that last dribble of urs,,,
"Think what u like if it makes u feel more important by beating teams"
o_O,
it dosnet make me feel important, its important we face other teams, as by beating them is how u determine who is the best
"fans that simply don't have the same care factor"
yes, fans that dont have the same care factor, which why the bledisloe has sold out the MCG and the 2011 wallabies v All Blacks test was the most watched sporting event on OZ TV.
"If kiwis are too soft to take each other on in island of origin speaks volumes about their character"
again, read i will direct u to my first reply on this thread, a reply i might add to which u said, i see ur point of view.
"Full of excuses when reality is ur too scared because would expose ur selves to cheating tactics u use against rest of rugby world"
i dont know how much power u think i have over NZ rugby, but i can assure u i dont have the power to do anything.
"As for Melbourne people...... They don't even know the difference between rugby and league..... The only ones who do are the migrants......... Oh yep that you"
oh yep, that u??? nice one reds neck, ur about as eloquent as an elephants ass taking a dump.
contrary to what u think, melbonians arent that dumb, ive met plenty and they do know the difference between the two and having lived here for the last 7 years, im sure ive met a lot more victorians then u have
in the future before u post and have a mental fart, just post the following pictures instead,,,
cos it sums up ur last post perfectly.
Red running a company and buying shares..... Your having a fucking giraffe maaaate, you can’t even hold your own in a fucking argument or hold onto your woman to the swarming kiwi breeding machine.
-
There is more rivaly in the ITM between Otago and Canterbury or Auckland and North Harbours battle of the bridge or Aucks and Waikato then any of this north/south crap. Probables vs Possibles used to be bloody good, guys fighting for AB places etc, but as Mr Sas told your Unemployable arse, Lads already play enough ruga.
-
But your right Red, we may aswell play ourselves more cause what a fucking let down the wobblies have turned out to be, no back bone whatsoever (even Scotland brought the game to Aus and they folded) and before you go blaming Deans at least under him your set piece was coming along nicely end of the day you cant coach courage to a bunch of gutless convict c****.
Fuuuuuck me, allblacknblue you did not let go then! Actually had me laughing, wonder Redsman will reply IF he does!

You are welcome!
http://www.searchaust.com.au/top10/Whats_Hot_Top10_Sporting_Events_Australia.asp.
You'll notice top 10 sporting events in oz... Bledisloe don't even rate....
@blackblue keep working... Working classes are good for the share price... Hhahahah
@migrantsucker Melbourne is cold and people there are seriously out of touch with reality too many employees for big company's... But so long as you working in them and my share portfolio going up that's great.... But if u have lived there for 7 yrs and haven't worked out they don't care about rugby then your dumber than the rest of kiwis I've ever met.......
By the way how's those kiwi shares goin in fonterra... Looks like u kiwis being blighted.... Hope that doesn't mean we have to cop more kiwi migrants............
which leads me to my simple but totally logically next point...... If nz is such a great place WHY THEN ARE U ALL IN AUSTRALIA..... Answer is simple.... your country is nothing but a couple of extra states in Australia that's too soft to play each other in island of origin comp.......
Yarpy Red - stop masquerading as an Aussie when you're just some dumbarse yarpy overstayer .
Kiwis get on just fine with Aussies and NZ is full of them.
We just have problems with nasty little yarpy overstayers like you. So stop giving Australia a bad name.
