Now that Whiteley is back from injury, and quite clearly still on form, who gets the Bok captaincy? Especially if the Lions pull off a miracle victory this weekend against the Crusaders. Rightfully, Whiteley should be captain, but that is certainly not going to do the politics in rugby any favours. I think Rassie must be sweating this decision.

Duane Vermeulen should be the captain. Whitely still has not proved himself at international level. Kolisi nor the Stormers have been in form this season.
It is going to be a lightweight back row with both Kolisi and Whitely. With the third loosie be Steph Dutoit or one of the donkey twins.
In the absence of  Vermeulen,  Whitely is the logical choice. However, Kolisi will certainly retain the captaincy.

Yes, Duane should be the captain with Whiteley on the bench.

A key requirement is the availability of  a fetcher and so far Marx was the only real fetcher in the pack. We need another 'mole'-type fetcher almost like Heinrich Brussow and imho Kwagga Smit would be ideal.

My loosies would be 6. Kwagga, 7. PSdT and 8. Vermeulen

Kolisi and Whiteley can sit on the bench.

Tough one, I'm not a fan of either. Surely Rassie is smart enough not to front with a lightweight loose trio?

Duane, then Marx. Those are the two I'd be looking at. Agreed on Kwagga. I'm not a fan of Kolisi and I agree that Whitely still has to prove himself.
