Arendse played for the Bulls today at fullback, with Canan Moodie on the wing.

Arendse was good today at cutting the backline on the attack as a playmaker and finisher.
He linked up with Moodie a lot, and both stood out as international players.

Moodie played at fullback for the Boks last week.

Not sure which one is better at XV.
Moodie is taller and jumps under the high ball a bit like Israel Folau.
Arendse is faster and breaks the line at will.

Both are good linking player, a bit like Willie Leroux.

Nobody in SA links like Willie. Like Jaque Fourie, who played much like an Aussie back, i s unique. If we want to adopt Arendse at 15, we need to change our structures to facilitate his skillset. I haven't seen him tested under the high ball, and can he kick? Our attack is scattershot at best, and Arendse at 15 could complicate that, without a real facilitator. A real 12 with Am could make Arendse lethal coming into the line (more akin to Cullen). That certainly isn't Willemse or Damian.

Bullshit the one player that replicates Willie is Gelant. He was brilliant for the Stormers performing the same role as Willie for the Boks He was sublime at summing up, pausing and creating for those around him Boks have missed a trick not investing in Gelant more Arendse was ok at fullback nothing special, better suited on the wing. David Kriel should be at 15 for the Bulls with Arendse and Nkosi on the wing once he gets over his shit. Moodie looked great popping up in the midfield with some good stepping and an offload. Move him to 13 now
