He is a very creative player and trys to make nuisance out of himself for the opposition but the only things that I can think of that may question him being a flyhalf is can he tackle? And is he afraid of charging into opposition?

I've started to think about this since Mornes kicking game has began to deteriorate as of late.

He can definitely tackle and he can definitely charge into the opposition......ask Schalk Burger. But he's not the answer at 10.....let him stay at 15 where he's better suited.

HM will sort Morne out.

Blue2

There are some things a coach cannot sort out.   It is a question of psychology - if the mindset is wrong th kicks will not be accurate.   Something has gone wrong with Steyn.   When he played for the Junior Boks in Argemntina - he missed every kick at goal and he is getting to that stage again.  He only converted kicks that my grandma would have put over - anything more difficult was missed - sometimes very badly.

How Meyer is going to sort that out - remeber it is all in the mind,  nothing physical - will be trying to solve a very difficult situation.   The question also is - is competition for his position making him nervous?   Is it Goosen - although injured - must have cause nightmares for him.

Tricky one!

The sensible me tells me to rather leave him at 15 and settle into international rugby this year, and move him to 10 in the next season or to... ala Stephen Larkham

The spontanious me tells me to move him to 10 for the next game. We've won the series, so give him a bash to get some confidence and to give Morne a rest.
