Here are the stats from Lambie's introduction to test flyhalf play against NZ:

FH Lambie 0/0 0 1/19/5 20 0 0 1 1 8/0 0/0 0 0/0

This kid was targeted and dropped every loosie charging through 10 channel by cutting them off at the knees 8/0. His limited running game, gaining 20 metres in a few carries was well done as well.

Goosen is probably the bigger talent, but there is nothing wrong with Lambie's heart. I would start him at 15 without hesitation. Playing Kirchner ahead of him is a travesty....if anybody dopesn't have heart, it's Kirchner on the tackle.

Goosen is the man it would appear but Lambie makes a fine flyhalf. He has courage and a rugby brain - the latter is what Kirchner lacks. But Taute is also back so we shall see what Meyer does.

Would be frustrating for Lambie to get dropped from the bench for Taute. Lambie should have been starting at flyhalf until Goosen was ready.

gentleman great points. i must admit having a goosen lambie might be a great prospect but we are really lacking at 15 in SA. i think taute can really plug the 15 gap but we have the nice position of being spoiled of choice.
