have meant that if he is on the field for the Boks he has to be handicapped by the inclusion of another kicker on the field. On current form with his kicking yips there would have to be a Pienaar at scrumhalf or even someone like Pietersen considered at wing or flyhalf to cover those duties. Last year proved how critical goal kicking is and Meyer would be committing Bok suicide to have Lambie on the field with the responsibility of being the goal kicker. Bok kicker needs a success rate of 85% or better to expect to have a legitimate shot at winning the Rugby Championship. What a selection nightmare. Hope Morne stays healthy and availabe through the Rugby Championship.

 

Lambie was great under the pressure of the year end tour last year and I hope he regains that confidence quickly

This decline has been so rapid. A few months ago we were saying he was more reliable than Morne.Oddly enough I think without somebody breathing down his neck, Morne may fully recover his prior accuracy.
